Maintenance for the week of September 8:
• [COMPLETE] PC/Mac: EU megaserver for maintenance – September 9, 22:00 UTC (6:00PM EDT) - September 10, 16:00 UTC (12:00PM EDT)

Would you sacrifice 6 months of content for 6 months of pure optimisation?

Wrong question. The one you should be asking is "Are you and millions other players willing to keep on paying subscription/buying DLCs at the same rate as before if ZOS were to stop releasing any content and only fixes with them?"

Not seeing a lot of hands here, huh? Sorry, but for the guy who runs the party at ZOS this is the only thing that matters.

Than different question for you: Are you willing to pay for game with loads of content but you will DC/lag/get kicked back to login screen and you will not be able to play PvP in it due to lag/ping spikes?

I stopped paying sub 4 months ago and I see I did good job 'cause I see no server improvements so the question is where the money we pay goes to? But I guess those issues are exclusive only to EU servers and steam users... not the NA.

While you did not ask me the question, I will answer for myself. Lag, DCs and getting kicked back to login (which is a DC) or character select are not something I experience daily. It is just not common for me and pretty much most I play with. Yes, it happens, but it is not constant as you suggest. Yes, I know some experience these issues more than others but with that being the case some issue are local.

    No.

6 months, 12 months, 100 years spend in optimisation are not a warranty that the game is better than before.

Many MMO´s try it to take more time for optimisations and all MMO´s who have it tryed are failed. They have nothing improved because fixes have brought old and new Bugs too.

Always have these MMO´s lost many players because the lack of Content. When ESO try it, ESO will play a titanic. But players dont learn...

I think it is more that some players just do not understand.

They can see there workplace has people doing different things and many cannot fill in at other areas yet they do not seem to grasp that is normal in any business.

Basically an answer of yes to the -poll is suggesting Zos either pay content creators to do nothing for 6 months or to fire them and have no content creators in the end.

Both seem to be very, very poorly thought out ideas.

Don't have problems myself either. Just had an crash during character switch however but don't remember last time.

The other major factor is that the ones who create content are not the one who can increase performance.
Trying to get an graphic designer to optimize databases will not work well.

More so content creates revenue, fixing problems cost money and that is the sad fact.

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

No MMORPG that has decent business people would permit it because players leave as a result of nothing to do. Some come back but others never do.

Zos lost a lot of players, players that subscribed, when they abandoned ESO for a year to get consoles running. It was the second biggest mistake they made. The first was releasing the game in such an abysmal state. In other words, the poll is not something that will sway Zos.

Pepole coming to this game, trying PVP/ End game pve, then insta uninstalling the game because they see how bad the servers are.
Pepole over the years left the game because bad performance and balancing,
Watching ZOS keeps adding new content without any statement on the issue also make players to leave the game.

That's not how development works. What would all of the artists, designers, level designers, 3D modelers be doing, twiddling their thumbs? The notion that ZOS should focus on fixing bugs and improving performance over content is founded in ignorance. They are not mutually exclusive.

@amir412 I will just put this here, The post I made shortly after the one you quoted.
I think it is more that some players just do not understand.

They can see there workplace has people doing different things and many cannot fill in at other areas yet they do not seem to grasp that is normal in any business.

Further, combat balance and performance are very much two different issues as well. That is besides the very clear and obvious fact Zos is actually taking a serious swipe at balance with the racial passives being the first step. They have explained this very effectively to anyone who has paid attention. Racial passives have never been more balanced than what we have on the PTS.

    Have a great day.
