And what about PvE? This is a staple for PvE tanks for crowd control. As for a tower...if you were running into a tower farm...what do you expect? Tower farms are ALWAYS FULL OF AOEs. No, both your proposed nerfs and what they are actually doing with it make this skill worthless. They may as well remove it entirely and give us a new Psyijiic skill if that is their intention.

    not needed for pve.

If you can't figure out how to avoid timestop in PVP maybe you should uninstall the game instead of crying for nerfs 24/7.

If you think its not a useful ability in PvE you should consider uninstalling the game, as a DK tank it replaces 2 abilities:

    1. Caltrops for initial aggro and slow
    2. Talons for CC

At the last boss of vFL for instance I prefer time stop over talons anyway because Talons will often only grab ONE of the scarabs...time stop grabs both....and that doesn't even touch its utility for non-DK tanks. The question is whether its NEEDED for PvE, its the fact that ZOS gave PvE tanks a VERY useful tool in Time Stop and now because of the INCESSANT WHINING of the PvP crowd who cant stay out of the red, they are taking it away.

At a certain level, if having time stop coverage is so important to a raid that they devote one person to build just for that (rather than have it be an added responsibility of other roles)...I'm kind of okay with that.

The cost increase is going to drastically reduce the rate of people casting it in the blobbly pugzergs, and, I'll bet, reduce the spam of it on the part of raids, too. I'd let the current change hit the live environment before claiming the nerf isn't enough.

...that being said, yeah, remove the snare. It's dumb and bad.

And it is for this reason, instead of almost doubling the cost, they should just reduce its radius. Reducing its radius makes it far easier to escape in pvp, yet still accomplishes its goal as a large aoe crowd control available to all classes. Right now I don't believe it's the cost that's the issue with the ability, I think because of its radius it is too hard to escape in pvp and is over performing by almost guaranteeing your enemies to break free.

No because the Cloak breaking effect is as an important part of this skill as anything. Or reduce the radius for the Time Stop morph but keep it on Time Freeze.

You’re wrong. It’s more than viable for a non dk tank to use - and I on my healer, if I get rando lower dps group, I use it for trash control.

If you can’t get out of a big aoe or chain people out of it, You need to consider uninstalling.

    Ok.

Yea a “nerf” that happened nearly 3 years ago. And it wasn’t even a nerf for the utilization of the skill. It was being abused on dw sorc, scaling with thaum and one shotting with curse. They removed the single target damage component and increased the aoe damage past what it was hitting for and has had little to no aftershock to the new pvp community/players. was also indirectly buffed by x, y and z aforementioned things essentially making that “nerf” pointless to use as a reason. Especially since it was altered to be stronger vs stacked players.
The “nerf” never disuaded raids, bombers, zerglings, small scale from utilizing it. They actually used it more because of how potent it is vs clumps.

No because that’s not a nerf.
And the original counter remark was that det was nerfed with the application to countering ball groups. Which is why he doesn’t want to see timestop nerfed.
It was always intended to do more damage in an aoe to multiple players not deal the same x large amount to just one player like it would to the 6.
They fixed it so that it scaled to do more vs stacks and less vs the poor solo guy.

    Right?
You can accomplish what time stop does with other skills. Talons (already used by tanks) caltrops (already used by dps)
Requires more group coordination and the times you’d use time stop for pve purposes is so seldom that you can’t really defend it from a nerf when it’s blocking out the sun in pvp.
