I myself wouldn't run dark deal cause the more time you're spent casting that and spell sym thats less time you're blocking and could get 1-shot or damn near lol.
Also btw you can update the build and change the passives to next updates

I have to ask. #1 Why are you running Lightning staff? #2...Why are you running liquid lightning?
I myself wouldn't run dark deal cause the more time you're spent casting that and spell sym thats less time you're blocking and could get 1-shot or damn near lol.

Whole point of playing a Sorcerer in group content is being able to apply Concussion with Shock damage. Lightning Blockade procs Off Balance on Concussed targets. That's why Lightning Staff is there.
Liquid Lightning is another source of Shock Damage and synergy for other tank to proc Alkosh.
Dark Deal is the only skill for a tank to use that procs Exploitation, giving Minor Prophecy. You could also use Restraining Prison but a root is not always useful. Dark Deal gives a total of 6k Stamina, 3.6k upfront and 2.4k over time. For example, a DK tank uses Fragmented Shield every 6 seconds (to make most out of Mountain's Blessing passive) to gain 1k stamina which costs almost 4k Magicka while Dark Deal gives 3.6k immediately for 2.3k Magicka (even lower with Spell Symmetry) and 2.4k over 20 seconds. It doesn't matter if you need to drop block to cast it. If someone can't cast a Dark Deal once every 20 seconds, it means the player has bigger problems than sustain such as not knowing the fight well enough and blocking weak hits. Also Spell Symmetry doesn't have a cast time and doesn't drop your block. To sum up, Dark Deal is way too good to even consider not running it.
