    Ok seriously. What's the deal? Like really. There is a stream of threads and no answers. Pvp players are leaving in droves. Performance is horrible. Yadayadayada you have heard it all because there is like 10 post a day about performance

    PvP players are getting very frustrated and it's becoming a bit absurd. You really, really, really need to fix this or there will be no more pvp.

    And before anyone says "well why don't you just run bgs?"

    Well that's apples and oranges comparing cyro to bgs

    Just give up something, some kind of acknowledgement, something. If you don't pvp will die, that's a fact. I say this because it's a shame, you advertised cyro hard before the game was even out. Cyrodiil was major selling point for many players and I spent an ungodly amount of time there. But now I just cant even play, lag will always push playes away. I can't play and enjoy a game when I die to some stupid stuff because I couldn't barswap and heal or shield. I can't enjoy and play when I can't even attempt to defend a keep in prime.

    Lag will end cyro pvp and it is close to the point of no return already

    I've lost so much AP by participating in the big fights at major keeps and then getting kicked just before the AP tick hits. By the time I get back in, the fight is over, we have the keep (or saved the keep), and the AP tick is done. So f'ing frustrating. My internet is great - that isn't the issue. Almost every one of my lag outs is right after a long fight (sometimes during), and then I get back after it's all over. Hundreds of thousands of AP lost.

    Vivec server:

    Queue - 532, took me 2 hrs to get in.

    Finds a group and we head to Alessia that is UA.

    Gets to the main gate, everyone freeze and then disconnect.

    Try to log in again and again, but game tells me to check my internet connection.

    I take 5 min smoke break and try again.

    Finally i can login, but have been kicked out from Vivec.

    Queue - 678, 2,5 hrs to get in.

    This time im Lucky, since i got to play in Vivec for 13 mins this time, then loading screen.

    Waiting, 10 mins.. 15 mins.. 23 mins.

    Quit the game out of impatience, and log in again... And ofc kicked out again.

    Queue - 876 didnt wait to get in, went BGs instead to get permafrosted and Steel tornadoed to death by premades the next 2hrs.

    Playtime in Cyrodiil: 19.5 mins
    Wait time to play in cyrodiil: 4 hrs 53 mins

    cyrodiil perf is poor on both client and server end.

    it would require a massive monetary investment to improve client performance for the long haul. world of warcraft, with directx12 and new driver updates is finally seeing real benefits to their game over dx11 on both nvidia and amd. they're one of the only companies to actually show results like this. it's a pretty big task and might not be something we see in ESO.

    there should have been a dedicated professional team assigned to the server lag seen in cyrodiil for some years now.

    With an i7 8700k overclocked at 4.7ghz and a gtx 1080, I get a stable 40frames in any situation in Cyrodiil. I don't believe that there is any major bottle neck or memory leak in this game anymore. You just have to get the appropriated rig, to run proper addons and also know which graphic settings do a considerable impact on the your game client.

    Also it helps to delete your Saved variables every 6months or so.

    ZOS decided to remove the deer from Cyrodiil because apparently they also had passives. Now they are introducing a new class that will summon new entities that will not only have passives but also skills. Can you imagine what Cyrodiil is gonna look like when 50% of the players base has a necromancer fully leveled up? Brilliant.

    Lol yeah turn off addons make sure setting are right blaaaa blaaaaa blaaaaaa. Everyone always tries to throw this and it's just not a miracle fix. So I'll change my statement.

    I know people with top notch rigs and programming backgrounds who still catch lag

    I am getting 30-35fps this morning during a large fight in Vivec PC NA on an office computer with a 7 years old graphic card.

    If I can get 32 frames with a 7years old setup, I can definitely get 40 with a setup from last year.

    I mean youre never going to convince me that performance problems are on my end.

    I never said that performance problems are on your end. I said that you can get pretty acceptable framerates nowadays when playing in Cyrodiil if you know what you are doing. The major flaw remaining is on the servers, netcode and game engine which make your ping spikes during large fights.

    People need to understand the different between client lag (frames) and server lag (ms).

    • Fix Volendrung (spawn location - weapon white on the map causing the wielder to keep it forever - usable with emperorship)
    • Remove / Change CPs System, remove current CP/noCP campaigns and introduce one 30days with lock, one with no locks
    • Fix crashes when approaching a keep under attack because of bad / wrong rendering prioritization system
    • Change emperorship to value faction score points and not alliance points - see this and this
    • Fix long loading screens (mostly caused by players joining group out of rendering range)
    • Add 2 more quickslots to the wheel or add a different wheel for sieges weaponry only
    • Fix Balista Bolts not dealing damage on walls or doors if deployed at a certain place
    • Release bigger battlegrounds with 8 to 16 players per team and only two teams
    • Fix the permanent block animation - see examples : link1 link2 link3 link4 link5
    • Gives players 10 minutes to get back into Cyrodiil after relogging / crashing
    • Add a function to ignore the Claiming system of useless rewards
    • Improve the Mailing System / Rewards of the Worthy stacking
    • Assign specific group sizes to specific campaigns (24-16-8)
    • Make forward camps impossible to place near objectives
    • Make snares only available from ground effects abilities
    • Change emperorship to last minimum 24hours
    • Fix body sliding after cc breaking too quickly
    • Remove Block Casting through Battle Spirit
    • Fix the speed drop while jumping - see video
    • Fix loading screens when keeps upgrade

    With an i7 8700k overclocked at 4.7ghz and a gtx 1080, I get a stable 40frames in any situation in Cyrodiil. I don't believe that there is any major bottle neck or memory leak in this game anymore. You just have to get the appropriated rig, to run proper addons and also know which graphic settings do a considerable impact on the your game client.

    Also it helps to delete your Saved variables every 6months or so.

    Well I know that the Performance CAN be awesome, especially FPS IF ou hvae the propper Hardware...

    I just wana give you an example here, whats happening on the Servers (not just PVP) due to this Event.

    Yesterday we went for vAS+2 (trying to get immortal redeemer).

    1st Try: LA dont register, Boss jumps, but get stucked in mid air for 2seconds, DMG not registering when he lands ect. -> Reset

    2nd Try: Everything went nicely, it seems some ppl still have a Bad performance, but we complete the Trial with no major Issues.

    3rd Try: Same as First Try -> Reset

    4th Try: 140Ms Ping for everybody, LA not registering properly -> Reset

    5th Try: Badly played on our side / wipe and Reset

    6th Try: Badly played on our side, we get the Kill and Raidevening is over.

    Also there is the absolutely Ridonkulous Loadscreens...srsly we needed the same time, just to reset the Trial, than we need to clear it...endless loadscreen are really terrible atm.

    so in Summary 50% of the Try we had to reset, because the Servers are Fried out during the Event. And 50% of our Time was wasted by the endless Loadscreens.

    This Loadscreen Situation is going on for a while now, we know that, but atleast the Servers have been stable enough untill the Event, now they are just completly overrun by the incoming Data

    I'm not twisting anything it's just nothing is stable in cyro. I stated earlier I'm not a tech guy so yeah the fps may or may not be on my end. But I still rubber band, catch load screens, get hit with weird desyncs, frigging crash. You just make it sound like its addons addons graphic settings when it it's well beyond that.

    There are many valid criticisms of the game, but trying to rationalize fixing pvp systems because they advertised pvp 5 years ago is silly.

    The amount of shifts and outright changes, deletions and additions to the game do not warrant comparisons to launch claims.

    They also said they would shutter the game before losing subs.

    Removal of faction lock with one tamriel is the tipping point of this games focus.

    Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.

    that..... is a pretty valid point.

    But you can't just look past the fact that pvp is a core component to this game
