I knew it! My prediction was right! Free crates are being replaced by craps that we don't like but instead craps that aims to please new players.

well, the good thing about daily reward is, when ZOS reduced it to trash, nobody would bother again, making the system pointless.

This month we got 3 collectible, so it's not that bad and I will make an effort to it. But if ZOS keeping reducing stuff, then I will call it soon

No loss. If the federal investigation into loot crates is successful they'll eventually go away or be modified heavily. Say goodbye to free crates early, perhaps?

Optimistically, they are being general with the rewards this month because people have lives during the "holiday" season and they'd rather we actually spend time with live human beings than worry about daily log-ons to a video game.

Now that I get all this garbage for free I actually use it, so maybe that was their plan all along, to get people to spend real money on repair kits?

Seriously, guys, you could give us at least 2 crates. I need like 15-ish gems to buy a Glenmoril Witchrobe, was waiting for eso+ trial crates, you took them from us, was waiting for December login crates, none again :-(

Doubt it.

Game is rated M for mature, theoretically, we shouldn't have any kids doing some online gambling. However, if an underage kid got their hands on ESO then it's not ZOS's fault.

Maybe you're correct, but I wouldn't be patting myself on the back too quickly because one event does not a trend make.

I have a lot of complaints about this game but not getting enough free crown crates is not one of them. They're just full of junk anyways.

ZoS found that the shower of free crates and more so old crates gave players loads of gems, add return of old crates who lots of collectibles gave more gems so people was not buying crates.
Has enough for 2019 myself unless we get Lyris ponygirl as apex mount

If only we could gift crate items. My US placeholder character is sitting on 622 gems I have no use for.
(That's likely the reason why they're taking the free crates away. They've been too generous with them, and it's hurting their sales.)

I doubt I'd roll out this special guar mount even if I had opened 10 free crates. Here I'll get it without the stupid RNG working against my luck. Fixed rewards are always better, less complaints.

I bought 5 SC crates, and the fifth one had the Frostbane Sabre Cat mount in it. Best thing all month!

Well. Currently so far looks like there are no good news on crates in eso. There was already supossed to be announced the new crates and the free crates for login. And we not get ouroboros crates, and now this too. strange :thinking:

I'm not really surprised. Buying a license, converting it into a license, converting it into a license etc. and hiding ol' RNGesus inside a crate might trigger the federal boys.

On first look it was underwhelming but the mount on Xmas day is kinda cool. I will miss the crates though, with the twitch crate drop rate being slashed my crown gem collecting as dried up to barely a trickle. I feel like they've gone from too generous with free stuff to too stingy.

Last month was awesome with the DLC but this month feels very underwhelming in comparison. I guess Americans value Thanksgiving over Xmas and so had November as the big giveaway month. It would have been nice to have Crown crates to open on Xmas day. Maybe next year.

Cool Without the freebies to make the very concept of Crown Crates seem less odious, the chances I'll ever actually be tempted to buy a Crate just dropped from the single digits back down to 0%.

people are really complaining about things they get for free? It's FREE. Take it, don't take it, use it, trash it do whatever but you have nothing to complain about. My goodness.
