As for that option - I don't have the bandwidth to waste. I'm on satellite. Max 12 gig on rolling 30 days (in other words, it never zeros....) I don't do stuff like streams of any kind, youtube, music....

Yep. I love where I live: the back of beyond, 40 miles one way from a good sized small city. Cleanest air and water in the lower 48, fewest neighbors. Crap for internet. Works for me.

There is nothing the FTC can do about the loot crates they aren't gambling.

Gambling there is a risk of losing something. You put down all your money on Black and it comes up Red you get nothing back. You drop 1 Million USD on crowns. By X number of crates, and you don't get what you want. It's not gambling cause you did get items in return. Is it what you wanted? No, but you still get something in return.

That's exactly what it will boil down to with the FTC and there is nothing they can or do to stop them. All these countries that are trying to fight them don't believe their citizens are capable of free thought or controlling themselves so they make every decision for them. That's a bad place to be.

Who cares? Only fools bought crates to start with. There is nothing but cosmetic garbage in them. Look at it this way: A year ago there were ZERO login rewards...now you are complaining about getting free stuff that isnt the random chance at more cosmetic garbage? You people will never be happy.

I honestly miss the Crown crates as well. BUT I can't complain about this month's rewards since they are pretty nice as always. Actually I don't have any complaints about the daily rewards in general. They always give nice stuff away (in my opinion). And like I always say: its better that then to not receive nothing at all.

WTF? Starlock's English is fine, certainly better than your comprehension. Starlock was speculating about why ZOS chose to structure this month's login rewards as they did, not prescribing anything about what you or anybody else should be doing. So put your fragile ego away and learn to read before commenting.

I suggest you review the what the Federal Trade Commission is empowered to do before making a blanket statement about what it cannot do. Unfair Trade and Deceptive Practices is a very broad body of law, and the FTC has already been active in enforcement proceeding in the game industry. Whether something can or cannot be done about loot boxes remains to be seen. There certainly is enough consumer and legislative interest in loot box practices for the FTC to take a very close look.

It is likely that if anything is done, that the FTC will encourage publishers to follow the model set by Blizzard, which Zenimax very closely parallels. FTC interest alone may be sufficient to decouple the purchase of loot boxes with any game currency that can be purchased with real currency. But again, no one can say for certain what will happen - perhaps drastic action, perhaps no action, but it is likely there will be some action, even if the action is simply guidance from the FTC.
