Dizzy swing completely broken

    Don't be ridiculous. If ZOS wanted you to keep aim at all times they would have needed to increase the hitbox, because its way too damn small.

    I have just been testing the new patch and wow yeah the new dizzy is terrible, I think I have landed around 10 in the last 4 hours lol and that was only against new players who just stand light attacking, anyone who was on the move was basically impossible to hit. Add the massive nerf to move speed and it makes it even harder.

    It's at the point where the skill is just coming off the bar until ZOS corrects the error. No reason to waist space and cast time on a swing and a miss.

    FYI.. It's not just snipe, bow users will also notice reticle needs to stay on target for light and heavy bow attacks. Seems like more of overall change with how the reticle works.

    Radiant Oppression works exactly as before (other than the documented duration change). Initial reticle check then I can look any direction I want and it keeps channeling. Don't see why some cast time abilities should be so much more difficult to land than others.

    That is because radiant is a true single target lock-on channel. Resto and lightning heavy attacks also work fine. But dizzy, and also snipe are skills with a cast time, that only hit when the cast time is over. Slightly different mechanic.

    Is Dark Flare also affected by the same issue? Tagging @Tasear (sorry, but we need this passed along, otherwise theres no point in targeted cast time skills like Uppercut, Snipe, and Solar/Dark Flare)

    At this point they need to sit down and rework this entierly to implement the fix via Incremental Patch as soon as possible.

    They should rework the targetting, so the skill can be casted without aiming at a target directly and have a conal hitbox where it chooses the closest target to you, the conal hitbox rotates according to the reticle.

    Just reverting it would be a compromise and not do just after this fiasco. The ability had targetting issues since ever and this was the nail in the coffin.

    I always thought that this game's autoaim makes it so easy to
    Fire and Forget, especially with snipe that the skill cap
    Is way low. I would hope that this would also apply to instacast abilities where the aiming would matter.

    With Dizzy the animations should not stop and the reticle would have to be aiming like someone said at a bigger hit box area like cone at the end of the swing.

    For snipe the animation should not stop and make it so it works like an AOE effect where it shoots where you aim at and if the player is in that area it would hit one.

    Poison inject and frags all that should also matter where you aim to, if you start the ability and the distance causes the arrow to be to the side because of strafe it could "miss" and the enemy do the dodge standing up animation... pvp would be so skill based having to lead shots and the whole game would change.

    Sux it only affects those cast abilities and in such a negative way. In general though, I hope targeting systems do get changed.

    This is a friend in a PvE setup who threw on chudan so he can survive somewhat.

    There used to be a to-hit check af the start of the channel and a second one at the very end, but in between the two you could drop the target for a little.

    Now if you drop the target at any point it’ll interupt the cast.

If i can connect my dizzy (which isnt easy) i can do high damage! My opponent can however counter me by avoiding the hit and be able to fight back.''

    Snipe mentality : ''Hey look, someone is fighting over there! Hmm, my enemy is outnumbered by multiple of my team but i can help from 48m away without an option to be countered. SNIPE SNIPE SNIPE SNIPE.. oh no, he hasnt died and moves towards me. Time to run/cloak away and try again from safety (48m). This is dangerous.. i wish there was a wall i could stand on.''

    People who spam dizzy are funny, people who spam snipe are horrible people who just want to ruin other people their experience. Snipe really promotes a cancerous playstyle :(

    I would think you should know better that snipe is not even very strong. It's easy to dodge or break los. I mean, it's better than dizzy but that's not really saying much.

    THEN, the victim being sniped must spot the sniper in a very large radius, while you're saying dodge roll? Are you suggesting that summersaulting across a 40 meter radius area JUST to pinpoint the attacker is easy?

    But sure it is easy to break los. But how does the sniper react? He close cloaks and either leaves or waits until you're in a much more vulnerable position--being xV1ed maybe and then does it again

    I read in the templar discord that the devs are looking into it. The above video has also been sent to them. So let's hope that they will fix this asap. But I agree, it would help a lot if they would just openly acknowledge the issue and tell us they are looking into it.
