This poll is stupid really. If you knew anything about the TES lore you would know the Dwemer zero summed and vanished for good. They no longer exist. I think one survived because he was in oblivion at the time.

So unless you want to be the only dwemer player and be fat and have metal robot legs, then sure.

Where does it say that they zero-summed? AFAIK when the Heart was struck they just disappeared into nothingness, without a clue. I often see people say that they became the skin of the Numidium but haven't found anything in regards to that either.

Zero sum is basically the fail version of CHIM. For a split second when Kagnerac struck the heart of Lorkhan, all dwemer became aware of the god head and the dream, and they were in the dream, but failed to recognize there own individuality within the great dream. So they vanished.

edit: although admittedly this may be more head canon. It feels awesome though to think that is what happened.

But that's still just one theory, and it's about as valid as any of the others because the only thing anyone knows for certain is that they all just ceased to exist.

True. But my main point about the poll being stupid still stands :) I think we all agree they are gone for good.

Since Dwemers only disappeared and ESOverse is a cannon. Will we ever see and possibly play this magnificent race? I mean they're bloody Dwarves! No fantasy genre feels authentic without them. :p

Edit: Pardon my ignorance. I know they're smaller version of elves with all beards and stuff but I didn't expect them to be bigger than Dwarves. You know how imagination plays. I don't want them playable now since they're not dwarves. :D

They're similar in size to a Dunmer or Breton.

Also... yeah, not in ESO, but I seriously suspect we'll see something with the Dwarves in one of the future single player games, with the one after that possibly adding them back as a playable choice. But, we're talking years out there.

I dont think we will ever see them, even in far flung future SP elder scrolls games.
They are too juicy a mystery to ever have it be solved. I love that you can read into lore and backstory forever and keep on coming up with new explanations for what happened to them.

I am not opposed to the idea of a flashback though, that would be pretty fun. Id love to see a Dwemer city at its height!

I just dont want them to ever try and explain what "really" happened to them. It would deflate all the fun out of it.

Why? I get the Dwemer have been continuously asked for like there's no tomorrow and there's enough beaten dead horses to end world hunger, but that's no reason to delete it. Let OP have his thread, it's not your place to tell them they should close it.

I wouldn't be opposed to seeing a dwemer dlc/settlement tho. They could work out the lore that all who visit forget they ever visited or something strange. It's so far back in the ES timeline I think they could work it out somehow. They just need to incorporate a story about why they won't be around in the future. But, I do believe it would be more lore breaking to have Dwemer players.

I'd love a new race, but Dwemer won't be it. Wouldn't make sense to have 2 million Dwemer running around.

Yes, Dwemers would do nice or...
Didn’t the Dwemer all get vanished by the Heart of Lorkhan? As Gandalf would say ‘they delved too greedily and too deep’

Please no, the most appealing thing about the Dwemer is the mystery involved in it, and I don't trust Zenimax to handle that kind of lore and story without jumbling it all up.

They will not pull a Blizzard, retcon the lore, and turn the elder scrolls franchise into a circus. Take your nonsense somewhere else please.

First off, Dwarves are part of Norse mythology while the fantasy genre was popularized by Tolkien. Blizzard has nothing to do with this. Take your WoW/Blizzard nonsense elsweyr.

They were referring to what WoW did with making "extinct" races suddenly not extinct as you're suggesting ZOS does here, not real-world mythology.

Whilst I can be a little blase about the integrity of lore, as long as any changes truly serve the story, I say in this case hell no. they're gone. For good. Not coming back.

There is literally a ZERO % chance of Dwemer in ESO.

ZERO. LOL do you people think an ancient race just appears out of nowhere, walks Tamriel normally and nobody in the future (Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim) ever mentions it or recalls it?

lmao some of you are wayyyy too out of touch with the lore

The poll seems confused by mixing race and class since they are not interchangeable.

Regardless, There have been no signs that dwemer remain for ages so no reason to expect to see them show up.

I was under the impression that they became the golden skin on Walk-Brass/Numidium? Or is that just another up-in-the-air theory?

Playable Dwemer will never happen because of the lore, but there are many other lore-friendly races they could add.

Well the best option for the 11th playable race would be the sea elves,.maormer this is something they could in fact do easily and explain it away, if they start from the beginning of Summerset. So if there is any race, it should be the Maormer, they could add in the Akaviri race as well. Given their invasion it would make sense there is many left trapped in Tamrial that survived the war.

So the new playable races should be either be Akaviri or Maormer or both. They could even tie the Akaviri race into an expansion of its own. Exploring the place they come from.

Akaviri would be more asian chinese, Japanese in appearance but maybe alligned with Indian/Hindu mythology along with chiense mythology in terms of culture influence from real life being made into fantasy . They should be human looking based on asian ethnicity giving them a chiense/Japanese look feel to them. With their own Culture and Gods and maybe other daedric princes gods not known about on Tamrial.

If the Dwemer were ever to be made playable, it had better be in a standalone game that explores the hows and whys of their disappearance. Then again, it may be best to just leave all that up to individual speculation...
