Forum curiosity: what's your reaction per comment percentage?

So after a glance at my profile, I realized that a) the number of agrees I've received is actually higher than the number of awesomes I've received, and b) my number of agrees is actually higher than the number of comments I've posted. Out of curiosity, I ran the numbers (not including this post in the data, and I suppose it doesn't count comments that subsequently got deleted by mods):

26.4% of my comments got insightfuls
105.8% of my comments got agrees
94.2% of my comments got awesomes

So out of curiosity, what are everyone's numbers?

# of comments: 793
# insightfuls: 209
# agrees: 839
# awesomes: 747

Calculation: (# whatevers / 793) * 100%

You can get more than one agree per post. All he's doing is dividing the total number of agrees by the total number of comments.

It's not a particularly scientific analysis. Just something for fun.

To be honest, I'm kind of surprised that the agrees outnumber the awesomes; I figured "awesome" would be a generic "this is cool" reaction and therefore be more common.

I guess I need to make some more popular posts.

Of course my profile also says I have 7 discussions, but I've only made 5 threads. So there's some weird juju going on there.

It goes to 1k instead of 1000 so the exact numbers are different

Hover your mouse over the 1k and a tooltip will appear telling you the exact number.

I suspect people often use agrees if they go to answer a question or give an opinion and somebody else has already said what they were going to say. So it's more like you're agreeing with what they were going to say, and they want everyone to know that they were going to say it too. Or something.

I’ve watched which of my posts garner the most ratings. It did not tell a good story. At that point, I stopped giving a damn about ratings. It’s probably wise to leave it at that.

Eh. The only reason I have such a ratio is because I'm first to the punch in a lot of knee-jerk forum posts/reactions. That comes out to a ton of agrees.

I rarely share personal builds, calculations, or beg for insightfuls. You know who you are.

EDIT: My ratio is also probably a little bit lower in reality, seeing as how I get myself moderated a bit less moderately than most, and while comments disappear, ratings don't.

My profile says I've made 131 discussions and I've only made 27 threads.

That's some intensely weird juju.

I actually noticed when it went from 6 to 7 (with no thread made on my part), but I couldn't tell you exactly when it was now and there wasn't anything that had happened that week that I would associate with it. I almost wondered if it had to do with a ZOS person doing something with one of my threads, like isn't there a thing where if a ZOS person marks your thread it'll show as having been edited or something?

Yep! I hand out an Agree or an Insightful for that.

That's one thing I've tried to do better at on the forums - giving people reactions. When I started, I didn't do that much. But now that Ive been here awhile, time for me to start doing better at that.

Were you part of any of the beta events?

If so, those threads you started then also count but ZOS frequently purged the beta forum threads/posts, so some of those are no longer available.

No, I've only had this forum account for about a year, only got it to report a bug.
