✭✭✭✭✭It is brilliant marketting. ESO plus is giving you free access anyways, and stats show most ESO plus subs don't drop their subs on a whim. It is basically giving them the DLC perma-access and making them feel better about it, while actually doing nothing.11 -

BWS2K✭✭✭Oh, come on! Every time someone brings up Argonians, people start talking about slaves and handbags and I get all riled up. The possibility of earning the DLC for free and people are too grumpy to crack jokes now? Where's the "Watch - they won't be able to give this one away because lizardz r dum!" or "Thirty days? That's thirty days longer than anyone should care about those walking purses!"?
It's a great idea, period. Not everyone will be able to take advantage of it, myself most likely included, but it's a neat culmination to the dailies. I do agree with the thirty-day reward model being a poor move every month, but for DLC months it can make sense. Maybe I'd say have it be free for everyone, or at least a portion of it, for the first month or something. Pressure to log in just to receive a reward is borderline actual work and tends to encourage the wrong sort of mindset and atmosphere, methinks.

✭✭✭✭✭My only qualm with Early Access has been that if you're not careful, you can subject bugs and other issues to just your subscribers. Which can influence people into just waiting for the fixed version later and let other people pay to do a live server test. It's a tricky balance.
The daily reward is nice, though. Perhaps a lot of the Murkmire assets and content have been finished and paid for for so long that they're more interested in pushing the DLC out and putting it in the past.signing off2 -

And now I have hope that eventually we will be able to get all DLCs as daily rewards. I still haven't bought any dungeon DLC cause I'm waiting for time when they will be no more than 500 crowns - their value is very low now when I've got almost all I would need from them during subscription. But getting these DLCs as daily rewards would be simply amazing

I believe so. I also think they are doing an end of year login push, starting with that 100K carrot that showed up this month. Everyone likes their data reports to show favorable numbers. Look! Greater Crown sales! Look! Logins are up!
The daily login rewards get people used to Crown Store consumables. It becomes less of an evil when sample packs come for free, and people see that (at least some of them) they can be useful. Like, xp scrolls and tri-pots. We're being trained to get used to them, to like them, and want to go to the Store to purchase more.
