How are werewolves doing in pvp for those of you on pc? What do you think about running ravager on a pvp werewolf?

Ravager is meh for me , but if you wanna use it do the following thing:

3 Ravager jeweries (transmutet to Swift or Triune) + Ravager Chest and Legs. ( 3x Stamina Recovery enchants )
    5x Shacklebreaker.
    2x Pirate Skeleton/Troll King / Chudan

All Tri stat enchants on the body, and make sure your werewolf is on a Dual Wield bar. ( 1 weapon Nirnhoned with weapon damage enchant , 2 weapon Infused with oblivion damage enchant).

For mundus you have 3 best choices - Lord ( for A LOT OF HEALTH ) , Serpent for more Stamina recovery or Atronach for magicka sustain.

    Maybe @Koolio has one? ;)

I've been practicing with mine prior to the patch to get a feel of what WW plays as. Let me know if you want to hear about the build.

I haven’t quite gotten to my personal build from new update because I’m on console. But a few questions would need to be answered first.

How are you getting major brutality?

    Lower heal?
    Potions?
    Druegh king?

Are you going to be in a group

I personally don’t like ravager on a Ww But that’s just me.

I have been running Ravager on mine, but I am running WW on a Stamplar so I get pretty great mileage from it. I also don't use heavy armor, just medium.

I would think DKS would be good based on the stats/effects, but since it's a heavy set you lose a lot of the great stam passives from a full set of medium, which are all incredibly helpful as a WW.

I will be in a group but also want something I can run around by myself with if it’s pissible lol. I currently am a Stam warden. Isn’t the ww ability’s heal based off health? Do I want a ton of health then? Right now I’m running hem jaas and spriggens on my warden. I just started playing a werewolf so I’m a total noob.

It's Ravager/Bone Pirate/Chudan Stamplar. I don't use the heavy armor pieces from Ravager, just jewels / Weapons. I have not logged on since the patch came to console so I'm not 100% sure what my toons stats look like. It's worked really well for me.

For many months I use simple gear for all my stamina characters, no matter if they transform into werewolf or not, and I don't care to update it so far :) 2x Chudan, 5x Hulking Draugr + 3x Agility. All in damage, no recovery except for small base numbers. Tri stat food and armor glyphs. I have a bit more than 30k resistances in werewolf form, and I can still melt when attacked... :D Although yesterday I could facetank full charge of Soul Assault on me - I was not blocking and was attacking the player, and he was stuck in this channel having to die  It felt so good, so rewarding - first time I actually saw any use of those resistances. Usually I feel like a good old glass canon. I was using 1x Kena + 1x Velidreth + 5x Hunding's Rage + 3x Agility before, and I didn't really feel the change in time it takes to die - before I could at least have great weapon damage to kill enemies faster, now my damage is much lower :/

I don't feel any nice change for my werewolves, except now I can use synergies and resurrect team members (it looks hilarious, I love doing it) :) Even worse, now my timer doesn't fill when I take damage, so I get lot of weird situations when I transform back in combat - which wouldn't happen in PvP before :|

If you´re new to werewolf, I highly recommend running in a group, no matter what gear you decide to use. My take on werewolf in PvP:
    • Very good in 1v1
    • Absolutely horrible when outnumbered (werewolf isn´t the best 1vX material)
    • Reaches their full potential when played in a small-group (3-6 people)

Decide whether you want to play a "Burst Wolf" or a "Permawolf" setup (basically the two main-categories you could divide werewolf into).

A "Burst Wolf" uses werewolf mainly to take down tankier targets, but don´t aim to stay in werewolf form for too long, simply because they don´t have a build made for it. This type of playstyle is usually more "beginner-friendly" because you don´t really have to use any specific gear to be successful. In other words, use whatever you want. However, if you fail to kill the tankier targets or get focused while transformed, you lack the tools/gear to survive in WW-form.

A "Permawolf" is basically what it sounds like. You aim to stay in WW-form as much as possible. The concept here is that you sacrifice a bit of your "human potential" to become incredibly strong once transformed. Gear here is very important. Takes a bit more practice to get used to compared to the "Burst wolf" but once you get the hang of it, you´ll see that it heavily outperform the burst-full werewolf playstyle.

Werewolf is heavily dependent on gear, even more so if you go with a "Permawolf" route. Since the heal now scales of your max health, try to at least use one set that offers some sort of HP-bonus. Green Pact is a good set you can use.

While I think there´s no such thing as a "best in slot" for werewolfs, I´ve a hard time with people showing of with builds that has 50k+ stamina and 5k+ weapon damage. Sure the numbers looks cool and for a "burstwolf" those stats are fine, but having those numbers mean you´ll lack other things.

From personal experience playing permawolf I´d advice you to look for sets that give you (priority from most important to least important):
    1. Max Health
    2. Magicka recovery
    3. Weapon damage/Stamina Recovery
    4. Max Stamina
    5. Max Magicka
    6. Physical-/spellresistance
    7. Health Recovery

In the end it all comes down to preference, and best way to get accustomed to werewolf is to try out as many sets as you can and find the playstyle that suits you :)

@Fischblut You gotta build very tanky(usually 35k resis+) but play the ww very aggressive with the changes. medium armor is usually pretty suicidal as a ww, unless you always got some1 watching your back, i wouldnt reccommend it (even with chudan what i combine with heavy armor).

Most suitable way to play medium armor in my opinion is to go with Impregnable and use 1 Chudan + 1 Pirate Skeleton (or 2 pieces of chudan, both works), but otherwise I feel you´re too squishy in medium.

Yeh, in medium you gotta invest so much into surviving, your way better of in heavy building for damage...

its true ww is horrible outnumbered but ive still managed to pull of a few 1vs3-4´s off with it. Its incredibly difficult thou. Best in small groups where even while outnumbered you have someone covering your back, and youll cover his back by absorbing every ult in a radius of 1000 miles which be casted on you(i can promisie you that, ww´s get targeted bigtime )

For 1vX - speed helps - can't kill it if ya can't catch it. Orc Passive, Speed on 1 or 2 jewelry helps keeping our of reach and using obstacles to your advantage.

For sets, I usually run Impregnable, Ravager, Molag (even on stam sorc) or Eternal Hunt, Ravager, Earth Gore with the Pack.

I´ll try out swift on werewolf soon to see how it works. I´m not sure however how many swift I can use before hitting the speed-cap on werewolf (WW+Major expedition + X amount of swift) :/

    Wrewolf - 30%
    Expedition - 30%
    3x gold Swift 30%

cap is 100% so you can add Steed mundus 5%,

You wont have to sprint UNLESS you are snared heavily, basicly if you are snared for 40-50% and you press sprint ,, you will be back at the Speed cap
