I would like to play a Monk character. But, having said that, I do not think there will ever be another new Class added to the game. Nor do I think that the existing Classes will ever be dismantled so that all the existing class skill lines are available to all characters.

What I am hoping for is more non-class skill lines including new weapon styles, new guilds, and spell crafting (or maybe spell scroll crafting). More new skill lines will make it possible for players to effectively construct their own character classes. One benefit of making new classes in that way is that there is no need to roll a new character. For example, all you might need for your Sorc or NB to become a necromancer is a spell scroll that summons a flesh atronach pet.

If just one martial-arts-style weapon skill line were added, using some new kind of "weapon" that occupied both weapon/shield slots on a bar, it would become possible to build a very passable Monk. I would prefer it if that weapon skill line was animated to show punching and kicking, and maybe throwing small pointed objects. But, if it was a quarter staff or bo staff fighting style then that would be OK too.

Now that the outward form of Costumes has been separated from the underlying function of Armour I think all we need for a Monk is a new motif, or maybe just some new costume pieces, not an "unarmoured" skill line. The Monk could use medium armour with all its existing stam, dodge and stealth benefits while dressed up to look like Friar Tuck or Grass Hopper.

Next year (2019) I'm half expecting us to get Southern Hammerfell as the new chapter. Maybe there'll be some kind of stam-based sword saint guild skill line. That might just be enough to do the job.

P.S. Bards always die first. It's their karma.
