    We 100% need more classes in this game. There is zero balance so it really doesnt matter.

    Ssssh... you'll get some people up in arms with that kind of talk. ;)

    I actually agree with this, and not just for fun reasons.

    As it stands now, we have a number of diverse power sources represented in the current five classes. If you want a traditionally arcane feel, you have Nightblades and Sorcerers (with Nightblades leaning toward Mysticism as represented in the lore, and Sorcerers having a more "Daedric magic" feel, if you choose to build that way).

    Dragon magic, elemental earth, and elemental fire are represented very well by the Dragon Knight.

    You want Aetherial/Divine magic? The Templar has it in spades.

    And finally, we have Wardens if you're looking for the natural world as your power source.

    The reason I like the idea of a Bard is that such a class seems a perfect place to add skill lines devoted to illusions, glamours, and the like (since Illusion is a classic ES school of magic). You could also add a line geared toward the control of sound, since tonal architecture is a definite thing within the lore.

    So, yeah. Good call, Artim!

    Nightblades have Illusion magic.

    Templars = Restoration (Spears could also be considered Conjuration or Alteration)
    Sorcerers = Alteration, Conjuration, Destruction
    Dragon Kights = Destruction, Alteration
    Nightblades = Illusion, Destruction (Drain spells are destruction)

    Oh, goodness, I hope not. If anything, I wish ESO classes would be removed from this game.

    Then, bring forth those Oblivion gave us, where one is... dare I say it... custom!

    Yeah, because when I create a character, I don't want to be shoehorned into a specific role.

    I have a hybrid, whom one day, may get some love in this game.

    But only if damage isn't directly tied to attributes.
    :angry:

    Where exactly would damage come from then? Since you still have Weapon Damage, Weapon Critical, Physical Penetration, Spell Damage, Spell Critical, and Spell Penetration.

    Yes, these 6 stats could be consolidated into 3, but this would become a nightmare to implement in the game's current state.

    You are also not "shoehorned" into specific roles. Every class can perform every role. Maybe not maximum efficiency, but I feel like this wouldn't matter to you.

    In addition, all classes can function as "hybrids" especially in PvP. Most stam builds stack magicka via prismatic enchants for utility in PvP and still USE magic in regular combat (How the heck is Hurricane NOT magic??). There's also tanks, who can even use staves on their back bar

    Basically, the only thing you absolutely cannot do is use a staff on a stam build. Even magicka builds can still use SnS and Dual Wield (which many actually do!)

    In closing, you are basically upset over nothing because you actually have more freedom than any other ES game since before you had only two hands or two hands plus a spell slot and I honestly think that people have no right to complain that "hybrids" are not viable when almost every build can or is a hybrid in some way.

    In this game you have 2 hands plus 6 abilities per bar that can all be used without going into a single "favorites" or "quickslot" menu and overall, the combat is far more fluid than any other ES game as hybrids, dedicated casters, and dedicated stamina builds simply because you don't have to go into menus every 5 seconds to swap your spells.

    Cloth armor type,
    Quick attacks, with POWER executions.
    Physical & Spell resistant buffs,
    Skills with both Stamina & Magica morphs.
    Regeneration passives,

    Other is a Necromancer, but that would just add more "pets" to render & annoy me.

    No, because classes are never designed to work with specific weapons.

    Monks that aren't how you envision them can exist though. Shiaolin monks train themselves in using many different types of weaponry...including things such as swords and axes.

    Plus, cloth armor will not work unless it's a magicka exclusive class. You will need to allow them to use both heavy and medium armor as well.

    This is only the precedent, though. There COULD be armor and weapon-locked classes in the future but at that point it becomes less ESO and more FFXIV

    I’d like to see something sort of like a Templar but as functioning good of passives as a NB.

    Or a class similar to DK or Sorc but with interesting stamina abilities.

    Or something like a magicka Warden only not pathetic with a stun.

    Or yeah! Battlemage! Sort of like a magsorc but heavy armor rather than shields.

    I am being serious.

    Have to consider what archetypes ESO already has:

    Warden = Druid / Nature
    Templar = Priest / Holy
    DK = Knight / Warrior
    Sorc = Wizard / Summoner
    NB = Assassin

    Scout/Ranger/Huntress - Ranged DPS is what's missing. Something that complements bow nicely. A class that could kite well with some ranged DD nukes/snares maybe.

    Bard's College should be added as the next guild skill line imo.

    I would say, we already have a hunter type class - it's the Warden. They even have some elements from other games, like the animal aspects. Some people here probably know exactly what I mean.

    Not that I think it's a bad idea at all, but it would be better to make something more of the warden in the direction you mentioned instead.

    Perhaps they do have minimal Hunter type elments, and in many games Druid share some elements of Rangers. In ESO, Warden excels at the Druid archetype and from PvP perspective is one of the best Druid types I’ve played in many mmos over 15+ years.

    Other than falcon’s swiftness, they lack almost all the proper scout/ranger tools. That would be things like:
    • Ability to see and reveal stealthed/cloaked characters (unique toggle skill or passive)
    • Innate fast movement stealthed
    • Effective ranged DD snare for kiting
    • Root
    • Poisons
    • High direct damage ranged single target DPS

    Since the Dragonknight is based off of Akaviri it would be interesting to add classes based of other non Tamriel nations/populations. A Tempest based on Maomer air/water/serpent attacks for example.

    Personally I would like to see a melee battlemage with weapon and touch spells. Bard and monk would be interesting additions as well.

    Dismantle the classes and let us pick/use skills from "only three" "class" lines at a time.
    Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
    Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
    Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
    Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
    Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
    House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
    Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

    Ice mage has its moments even in the current meta, I will agree... Ive played my own variant of that build and have had some wicked 1vX and 20+ kill deathmatches on it... I guess I just wish that Magden had a its own on demand class cc to complete the offensive kit of the play style and give it the control it needs to secure kills against other skilled players without having to wait for permafrost to be up... I know the ice staff has its place in small scale pvp due to its aoe damage and control potential (no cool down on winterborn lol) as my guild pretty much always asks me to switch to my frost build when we fight zergs... I just find it too frustrating to use an ice staff in a 1v1 against good players when I don’t have a reliable cc in my toolkit and I don’t really like having to rely on procs to be relevant for damage when I build for my class element type
