Fake PUG Roles

It used t be occasionally that you would queue for a a random normal dungeon, and get a Fake Tank or Healer (ie: DPS queuing as a role they cannot perform).
In the last week I have encountered no less than 12 Fake Tanks - Typically Pet Scors queud as Tanks (No Ice Staff) and at least 20 Healers who were not healers.
Since I spend up tp 40 minutes queuing for a dungeon, to then get Scalecaller Peak with a fake tank and/or healer means it simply cannot be done, especially on Vet.
Can we have some kind of reporting system, where if someobody is a repeat offender, they are warned, then perhaps sanctioned in some way.
Possible Options:
1. Disable the role they are "abusing"
2 .Temporary ban from the game 3 days or so.
DPS is something that is imossible to monitor, but it is also the easiest class to replace almost instantly, where we have to wait for tanks and healers.
In pre-fromed groups, prevent the ability to report (as it would be discussed before entering the dungeon)
This is something which affects other players gameplay, and if we leave the dungeon, we have 15 minute penalty to queue again.

✭As a decent healer that can also tank and dps a little I find myself having to do alll roles as most fake tanks I've come across cant even dps properly either!
It's so frustrating when this happens in the harder vet dungeons as often a proper tank (and dps) is needed to get through it.Edited by Rowjoh on August 20, 2018 8:30AM11 -

Yesterday I started kick-vote on fake tank and the first question in chat was "why kick?"
I left after vote-kick was failed and I'm going to do this any time I will see fake role. Start vote-kick and leave after fail. Any role of mine. Any dungeon, even fungal 1 normal.
No matter how hard it will be to play dungeons with such attitude.10 -
EDS604✭✭✭report the fakers, if they get enough reports, they shouldn't be able to use groupfinder for a week or so.
in the rare occasions i queu up in groupfinder I get 9/10 times a fake healer. Play mainly tank myself, so can't rlly say something about that :P

I have started many times to train a healer character, but how to get experience in a dungeon without being called "fake"....
... especially when one of the DPS takes over the healer function.

Nope. But I bail as soon as there is a kick vote. That leaves two roles to fill then.

✭Well i mean they could restrict certain classes to perform certain roles, oh wait #PlayAsYouWant.
Therefore they cant really restrict anyone from queueing as anything.

ValueDrift✭✭✭To be honest, if we require similar standards from DPS as from healers and tanks, then half the DPS I see in Normal dungeons are fake DPS, with their single target DPS being around 5K and AoE non-existent. But of course we know that no one would actually queue as fake DPS, since DPS has the longest queu times.
So these people who look like fake DPS aren't actually fake DPS, they simply aren't very good at the game. The same is then probably true of many fake healers and fake tanks. At least the fake tanks I see often have tank-levels of HP, so maybe they just don't know they are supposed to taunt the bosses.
And yes, I agree with what someone said above, fake tanks usually also have no DPS. Which also supports my agument that many of these people aren't intentionally queuing for the wrong role, they just can't play any role well.
What ZoS could do about this is add some kind of dungeon tutorial, that teaches the different roles, and requires passing a test for that role in order to queu for that role. Untill test is passed, random dungeon finder can't be used. Then every healer will know how to heal, every tank knows what a taunt is and every DPS can reach some reasonable minimum requirement of DPS.8 -

✭No time to waste waiting 30 minutes + in a que. Improve the group finder tool or I dont even care anymore lol. They obviously dont care about all the group-finder and Cyrodiil bugs, so it's z0$'s fault. All they do is pimp out as many crowns and crownstore items as possible. As many people who have been having the exact same issues for months or even years, the garbage should have been fixed. They barely address some issues if at all. Kelces✭✭✭✭✭I agree on the stance you take on choosing the proper role, common sense of course. I don't however on the point of bans coming from ZoS' side. Because:
1.They don't even ban bot users or cheaters of any other sort.
2. Social pressure is much more effective, it always has been. Naming and shaming in game!You reveal yourself best in how you play.

The_Sadist✭✭✭✭✭I honestly can't say I've ever seen a fake healer before, though as a Magicka Sorc I have shields and self heals for days so I could have overlooked them, but legitimate fake tanks are a serious annoyance. That being said I'm a hypocrite, as I often queue as a tank for dungeons I'm grinding in order to speed up runs. That being said, I slot a taunt, control the boss, mostly self sustain and I've never had a complaint before (or a wipe for that matter). If someone queues as a tank for a difficult dungeon and doesn't adjust their build accordingly I often see how we go with trash and the first boss before asking the player. I personally don't mind a competent fake tank who doesn't drag the boss around, a fake healer seems like you're just asking for trouble though."Each event is preceded by Prophecy. as the suspect are real DD and faking their role, we simply have more than 2 DD = do not do your job as DD.
i ever do it and eventually the suspect change his/her setup and gameplay. then i continue to complete the dungeon.0 -

i didn't farm alkosh and leeching plate and ebon and plague doctor and defending warrior to gear up my tank, so that i can switch to hunding/vo in the middle of the dungeon because the self-proclaimed dps hit like a tank and simply cannot kill the bosses4 -

i dont see the problem
If you get an fake tank or heal then why dont you kick him out of the group?
Btw there are dungeons who can be done way better with 3dps-1heal or 4 dps instead of 1 heal-1tank and 2 dps
You want that fake tanks/heals get baned? then whats about the "fake dps" who join a vet dungeon as dps and got like 5k dps

If i need a set wich i can get from normal dungeons ill come with my dps and queue as tank
Then we got no tank but at least one dude with dps so that the farm run dont need like 30min
And if you need to join a special dungeon like 30 times+ then its really not funny anymore if you join as a real tank and heal and you need 30min+ per run
In my opinion especially for farm runs the "fake dps" who starts crying about the fake tanks affects other players gameplay

Yesterday I was pugging (as a sorc healer), think it was nSpindleclutch II, and we got two DDs below 50, me at cp300 and a cp780 fake tank. Before we even reached first boss, he rushed ahead, out of heal range, pulled all the trash and, sure enough, got insta gibbed. Then he's like "we don't have a healer or what?" "No" I say "we don't have a tank". Then him: "Who needs tank on normal?"... gee...7 -

blistb16_ESO✭✭✭Even with my healer I queue as a tank, else it takes forever to get a group, and most of the time it's with a fake tank anyways.
So I prefer to put plague doctor, a frost staff, inner, and do it myself.
Obviously I would not do this with the hardest dungeon.0
