There once was a time when you could use it in cyrodil and after a patch update it started having animation issues with dw heavy attack. Dark deal. Destro ult. Mount surfing.
They then banned it from cyro along with many other disguises. I’m just asking for it to Be made into a viable option that can be used in cyro.

Well callopi makes you really hard to see visually but maybe if they redid the art

Hurricane and shuffle are far worse, for me anyway.

Make it proper polymorph, allow it in Cyrodiil again, and bring back the "mount surfing" (actually, make this "stand on your mount" thing optional somewhere for anyone to use, so we can decide if our character is serious warrior who rides his mount properly or who rides it like a boss ) - it was the only thing which genuinely made me laugh in this game

Don’t do anything (I’m a hateful person)

There's already enough whining in PvP. We don't need to add fuel to that fire. TBH, polymorphs and outfits should NOT be allowed in PvP. You should not be able to "hide" your gear or race. I need to know If I'm fighting scissors or paper because if I'm rock, I'm only going after "scissors".

This was also extremely funny and not intrusive to other people’s game play.

Since disguises have a certain role in the game and ca be destroyed as a result of the Intended use they have remained a separate item.

While Mary of us have enjoyed using them as a costume they remain a disguise for that intended purpose. Hence what OP is asking is unlikely.

If anything they should just add a 'light mode' to PVP that only displays the enemies gender, race (default model), armor weight and then dyes the armor based on alliance. Would probably increase performance by quite a bit

And not just for the shadowsilk gem, but for ALL disguises.
Just like with the "Scarlet Judge", have the disguise be a disguise as usual during the quest, then get removed and replaced by a costume/polymorph of the same visuals once the quest is completed.

Fix the current shadowsilk gem for cyro

Zos really shouldn't take this whole "I should be able to see who I'm fighting arguement so banning disguises is good" because they certainly wouldn't remove their polymorphs from the crownstore in cyro as that could mean less money for them. Plus hardly anyone in cyro wears their actual gear eg. Light armour players wearing emp costume or heavy armour wearers wearing the telvanni robes, if you're judging people by what they wear in cyro you're gonna mislead yourself. Also you can hide your race with a skin, should we remove skins from cyro aswell?

Zos should really fix the disguise since they updated the animations which then broke it, and to update something and then when it breaks just remove it seems really poor plus it works in bgs, but nevertheless I think a polymorph with a personality is a good idea, even if it was in the crown store to make it worthwhile for zos to fix it thats still better than nothing.

Definitely worth spending the development time on, name me one thing funnier in cyro than a 4ft goblin screeching and screaming whilst he kills 10 tyros?

I think a conversion makes sense, it seems the best way to handle it and most people like seeing account wide unlocks.

Yeah, this would be cool. I suppose we'd lose the ability to override the goblin's personality, but I can live with that. (Even if having a goblin with the duchess personality is ****ing hilarious.)

I'm not even sure the Goblin one is a serious issue. I mean, because of the UI elements, you couldn't really use them to disguise yourself as an NPC goblin. Maybe at long ranges, you could fool someone into thinking that there was a procession of goblins leashing, but even that feels like a stretch.

I think you hit on the major issue though, it's the Kollopi Essence. The Goblin is probably just caught in the backwash from that.

Not even just to fool an opponent from a distance but more of a preference or another option to modify your characters personality and role.

How does seeing them help? It's skills that make it obvious who's who / what's what. In particular in the sorc heavy armour meta lol
