Today I was fortunate enough to pick up a Senche of Scarlet Regret mount from one of the 5 Ouroborous crown crates that I got for linking up all the accounts and watching the BE3 Showcase Sunday. The whole twitch account link thing can be seen
here if you haven't seen it as well as what Ouroborous crown crates are. I had not seen any of these mounts in game, and they cannot be previewed in the crown store. So, I figured folks might like to see a few pics as well as what to expect. One of my buddies got a kitten pet so I'll try to get him to post some pics of that as well.
First off, the card was a bonus card and did not play any animation around it before it was turned or after. That made me a bit surprised when I flipped it and found it was the coveted mount. The card border color is the same as the apex and radiant apex cards. Maybe this is an indication of drop rate, maybe not as the crate tracker add on doesn't seem to be doing Ouroborous ones. It is pretty well established that the drop rate on apex stuff is .5% and radiant is .05% for the last few crown crate seasons anyway. I have no idea what the rate is on these. I should also mention that I have had a few bonus cards that were just 1 crown gem consumables (Ouroborous crate consumables can be made gems) so not all bonus cards are mounts or pets.
The collections tab shows this text for the Senche and does not appear to give it a default name though you can name it yourself (though not un-name it after you do.)
It was my thought, when I saw the art of the Senche of Scarlet Regret on the eso announcement, that is was based on the Dro-m'Athra model but red where that was blue. This does not seem to be the case all around. It's attributes are as follows:
1) Does not have the erupt from ground mount animation of the Dro-m'Athra. Has the basic striped senche mount animation.
2) It's red lines are thinner, brighter, and more sharply defined than the Dro-m'Athra and form a Psijic eye on the back of the neck.
3) The saddle, bridal, and head armor, are most similar to that of the original striped senche but they appear to be unique.
4) The mount does not have the large ambient ethereal animation of the Dro-m'Athra or the Shadow-Rider Senche. It does have an ambient etheral animation though it is just a small cloud around each glowing eye.
5) The growl is a normal senche growl and not a glowing thing like the Dro-m'Athra
Here are some pics of it in use and in my house. I'll try to get my buddy to post some of the kitten pet as well.
Edited by f047ys3v3n on June 13, 2018 10:52PM I am currently worried for the future of ESO. Population seems like it is in free fall and the cancellation of the North America in-person gathering feels very much like pulling the plug. Kudos on fixing the in-game economy though. Clearly whatever gold shenanigans were happening the last couple years are fixed.
