I don't really get the point of this thread, but no. Not worth it.

Maybe if I'd turned my house into a giant fish tank/aquarium, I'd consider it. It's pretty in it's own way, but still fairly unspectacular, considering the price.

It's on par with the other crab pets, and possibly the cheapest-to-acquire crab pet in the game.

Prodigious Brass Mudcrab was a 100 gem crate reward.
Nibenay Mudcrab is exclusive to the Imperial Upgrade bundle.
Rufous Mudcrab was bundled with a $19.99 plush or occasionally part of a promotional giveaway.

Way too expensive. I would have gotten it at a cheaper price.
The Alinor horse and costume are overpriced, too. I would have gotten all of those if they'd been cheaper. I guess they don't want my money.

The 1000-1500 Crown price range for pets is just absurd in my opinion. I really wanted the Coral Mudcrab but at that price? Yikes.

I just wanted an open discussion about the cost of a pet, whether we as a community feel about its pricing favorably or negatively.

I would totally buy this at 900 Crowns, I personally am tired of the upselling trend I've noticed creeping into the crown store, stuff priced 200-500 crowns over what it deserves to be for what it is, and we deserve to give feedback about it, as consumers.

I misread... I thought it says "I won't buy it at any price" Ordinary mudcrabs are cute, but this Summerset version is too weird for my taste Of course, actually I vote "Overpriced at 1200 crowns".

I have my beautiful Sep Adder pet for 700 crowns, so any other pet I might want to purchase needs to be not more expensive and at least on same level of cuteness. Well, Haj Mota pet was very cute too but also overpriced at 1200 crowns I think

agree, i said to myself a day before the crown store got updated: "i will buy the crab, but only if its under 1k crowns" - more as a joke, because why would it be that expensive? and then i saw the pricetag and.. uff.. that's too much. 1,2k for a compat pet.. sorry, but no

Pretty much everything in this game is over priced if we are being honest but sometimes we buy things becuase we like them and this keeps everything over priced its a vicious circle or should i say greedy circle

The price is what people are willing to pay for it. If is selling then the price is right regardless if some would not buy it.

It is really the revenue, the sales, that determine if something is priced to high or just right. Not this poll

I fell in love with these crabs the moment I saw them on Sumerset.
I was sure they would become pets sooner or later and was willing to pay 400 to 700 crowns for it. But not nearly twice as much.

Considering it's highly detailed i see why they asked for that price, but in general the new content are getting more detailed, i mean, the game is developing all the time, so i think the crab is a bit overpriced. I would at least put it down to 800-1000 crowns, and that is me being generous and trying to justify their work.

However it's not a limited item, so i will just wait and see if the price drops or get it when i have a good amount of crowns. Right now i'm saving up crowns for upcomin limited items and upcomin psijic crown crates.

I think I'll wait until it inevitably gets "retired" and shows up in clown crates from where I can buy it with my surplus of gems.

Very sad that this is what the crown store has become. The waiting room for the clon crates.

Price ranges on everything has gone up drastically. People bought that poor depiction of an Auroran (in the form of a costume lol, not even a polymorph) for 2,000 Crowns. They bought the matching horse for 3,000 Crowns. Why not have a mudcrab cost 1200 Crowns? It’s literally the exact same thing.

Case in point, it doesn’t matter if most customers (based on this poll, like 9/10 lol) are pissed about the prices.
The people who *do* buy all of this stuff don’t care and happily spend hundreds of dollars each month in ESO like its pocket change.

Same goes for the Outfit slots only counting on one character - lots of players only main one character. A small portion of those players that have multiple characters still might buy a 1-2 outfit slots. Then the people that don’t care for pricing and are willing to buy tons of slots will make up for the majority of the community members that hate the pricing. Overtime more players will cave and buy at least one slot as well.

Crown Crates.... some people spend many thousands of dollars on these. Not an exaggeration. These crates alone are beautiful for the whales, which is why ZOS prioritizes them so much with significantly more interest in Summerset. Why wouldn’t they after seeing how effective the Crates have been and how addictive they can be?

Oh and tha brand new reduced sale around the time when new monthly Crown Store items were out - easy money. ZOS tested the waters with the decreased sale % off and will likely do it even more.

Things are not going to get cheaper ppl. Only much more expensive (moreso than rn... you’ll see). And can you really blame the ones spending thousands or tens of thousands of dollars on ESO? They can spend their money how they want, though ofc we can voice our opinions about it. Luckily it is *all* cosmetic or convenience - no P2W. It’s just unfortunate that everyone else gets screwed as a result.

I could only imagine the disappointment as a new player joining the game and seeing a costume, mount, and pet I want costing so much money.

If its worth 1200 crowns is something you have to decide. In my opinion its way too much for a pet and not worth the 1k+ crowns.
