So, who has a freeze after today's patch? It seems that it was caused by an integrated spyware, because I did not have them anymore . Played for about an hour in different locations - everything was fine, except for not loading textures, of course :) .

    Integrated spyware?
I played for a while, and though my FPS is still lower than it should be outdoors - from 20 to 40 - I didn't get any freezes anymore. At least that is better.
BUT I did get that bug with textures disappearing when you turn your view sideways. It was in a delve, floors and walls disappeared when I turned to look to the right and to the left. It was horribly annoying. So that is still not fixed.

Sadly same issues here, infact seem worse on both my systems since patch on Tuesday if anything (or maby I am playing more, or trying to). stutters mostly, but now and then seems to plummet FPS so low, the game just freeze's totally. Happens anywhere, dungeons, trials, cities etc.

One system runs 7980XE with a bunch of 1080Ti's, infact with this system game did not even launch until manually editing core count in UserSettings.txt with summerset and second system is 8700k with 1080Ti and similar behavior there. Latest Nvidia drivers etc.

Well, FPS is indeed low when it should be higher with our computer set-ups. And while I've been playing two days with no freezes despite the FPS still bouncing from higher to low, it's a shame some of us still experience harsher issues.
I still get failure of texture loading sometimes - when you turn sideways and walls/floors/textures altogether disappear while flicking back when turning back to look straight ahead. It never happened to me before until the Summerset launch.
It's totally obvious to us all by now that the problem lies in ESO itself and specifically in something introduced in Summerset patch.
We do hope you guys will hear us and fix this performance mess. Please.
Everything worked fine before Summerset - we all are testifying to it.

I'm getting FPS of about 13-14. And the game stutters worse than my 8th grade boyfriend.
Unfortunately things are unplayable for me.
Other games/online activity is snappy. It's not my connection.

    i5-7300HQ
    GeForce GTX 1050
PC/NA - Perpetually casual. Furniture and fish collector. Lover of exploration and opener of urns.
Maxed CPs, still no clue how to endgame, too much time opening urns, prolly.
    Eve Morrison - Templar DPS - Furniture Crafter/Maker of Arms - Co-op w/hubby/achievements/crafting
Jilly Narraway - MagDK DPS - Delves/Dungeons/Dolmans - She murders ALL THE THINGS!
Fynn the Lucky - Warden Tank -- Seer of things/Explorer of places - RP/Solo/Storyline/Completionist
    Siluna Southpaw - StamDK DPS slippery-fingered type/Murder hobo - RP/Solo/Storyline

That sucks big time. My friend has to play with awfully low FPS - she's got from 2 to 18 depending on the setting. The bigger the players' numbers or whether it's a fight - the lower it gets. But she rather has long loading screens time and some stutters. Still plays somehow.
But I imagine it's frustrating to no end. It needs to be fixed asap.

I'm getting a very strange fps drop after Summerset update.
It is constantly about 10-18 fps at my specs but before the 4.0 update I was getting about 40-50 fps in old locations (Glenumbra for example) and now its is 18-20 fps there even when subsampling set on 2 of 3. I don't use shadows as well. I'll say you more, when I just login on my character I am gettin my old 45 fps for like 15 seconds and I can see in real time like it is getting slow down from 45 fps to 20 fps and stay at this, even though I don't even move.

Solved my stutter and loss of FPS. For me there were a few factors.

First, Master Merchant is currently a problem and causes load delays and some loss of framerate. You'll have to use an add-on like Addon Selector by Circonium and use MM only when buying, selling, trading etc. Keep it off for everything else.

Second, If you use an Nvidia GeForce card and GeForce Experience, disable optimization for ESO. Period. Then you can set/optimize your settings to enable a higher framerate directly in ESO. The GeForce update had raised my Screen rez from 1920x1200 to some insane HD rez: 2715x1697. Graphics were set to Ultimate. Looked awesomely beautiful. My 1050 6GB card could not handle it. Lag, stutter, lag etc...

Here is the fix for my midrange card. I had to do these essential things in ESO graphic settings: Revert back to my default rez:1920x1200 (6:10 monitor), Change my Graphics Quality to Custom. Set Texture and Subsampling to High, Shadows OFF (a must), Water Quality to LOW, , Max Particle System around 1000, Particle Suppression Distance to 50, View Distance to 40. Everything below is left ON. I recommend not using additional effects, bottom setting.

My visual experience is really nice despite the lack of shadows. No stutter or lag or freezes in any situation including Trials.

If you do start up your ESO with MM you will find it takes longer to load with initial frame suppression and low bandwith for a few minutes.

Hope this helps end your miseries. :)

    Happy Hunting,
    garystewart

P.S. With a more powerful card you can play with your quality settings. However Shadows OFF is a must for everyone! And lower water quality will help.

Well, I never had master merchant - I have no add-ons at all and still had stutter until they fixed a little bit of something recently. But yesterday there were those crashes, which is another story.
As for quality, it never gave me trouble before Summerset, so I wouldn't want to resort to lessening my visual pleasure in order for trying to fix what Eso devs should repair. I do have some needless effects off, like Bloom, for instance. I don't know how essential are Shadows, but water quality is kinda important for it all to look good - solely my imho. Since I played all the games since original Morrowind, enjoying the sights is one of the vital parts of the whole gaming experience for those people who love this world. So yeah, everyone will set their graphics according to what they can or cannot lose in that regard.
But frankly, when all this FPS was causing stutters for me, I tried changing graphics and found out it didn't matter. It's not in our settings - the problem is in the way ESO loads their textures etc, whatever they've done to the game aiming for improvement.
We shall have to see what fixes they will offer us in the nearest future, because right now there are plenty of issues players complain about - stuttering, FPS, crashes and textures not loading properly or at all. Hopefully our complaints will be heard.

Im going to try that and I have nvidia as well.

I have fps drops and didnt have them pre summerset.

Ive updated windows, a new driver, all addons, turned them off, tried low settings, have windows game garbage off, but I havent tried anything with nvidias setting. When I get the chance, I will post if it worked

For me the FPS became even worse with this new "improvement" again. No stutters (only from MM indeed), but the gameplay deteriorated even more for me.

there is 0 improvement and will never be(only if they change the engine in the next eso2) , but they like to sell mounts and dlc and get my eso+, and you get another bonus, amazing servers with ping 100-300 in Cyrodiil and sometimes random spikes in towns, with 0 players around me from 80-170, i got some friends that stop playing the game, because of the damn lag in cyrodiil...very disappointed from a game that charge you with subscriptions! :(
Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.

Yeah, I got a stutter today again because suddenly my FPS dropped from 30-40 to 18 with no apparent reason other than my riding across the island.
So, I officially confirm that even that thing is not properly fixed yet.
And I thought it was, since I didn't get stutter for a while. But today I got it. And FPS seem to be worse than even a couple of days before.
I also noticed it went downhill from the day they distributed the E3 drops - the wolf and the crates. This event somehow degraded our FPS from low back to worse.

Honestly, my frame rate dropped significantly after this patch: sometimes, it's unplayable with freezes occurring. Not cool.

Like, this is super depressing and it very much discourages me from continuing to play this game.

Well, I don't know what they did, but the low FPS are back, so it's getting very close to stuttering. And latency went way up. Now it turns red for me quite often, which never happened before.
Doesn't add any mood to log in and play with all these performance issues.
Servers need to be fixed. It's been going on forever for so many people.

So there was a maintenance for EU today?
It's been a lag fest. Liquid lightning and ultimates refused to drop, and I was freezing mid-fight in dungeons as if there was lag, but the latency numbers remained white.
And FPS is still terrible, as it's been since Summerset release.
