An extension, that's nice and it's only 14,000 crowns. While 14,000 is higher than I'd like it to be, it's lower than I expected it to be. I was expecting it to be more in the vicinity of 16,000 to 18,000, so this is pleasant surprise.

I think I'll pass on this house but I look forward to seeing what other people do with it!

I wish Hew's Bane had other housing options. Like medium and small housing. But the palace is a tempting one. I think I'll just stay in my Telvanni tower though.

There is a typo in the name of the house. I'm pretty sure it should be... Pricey Dawnlight Palace.

I can't decide if this is an insightful or awesome, I mean its both, wish I could give all three! No big deal, $100 for assets they already had and still the same 700 item limit on a house the size of small DLC. Definitely worth the same as 2 AAA games.

As always great stuff. As always i won't buy any of it because everything is way overpriced. Which is a shame. I looked forward to buying furnishing pack if it was around 1.5k-2k crowns. 4.5k crowns (a bit less than yearly 3 DLCs combined, at least in russian roubles) for something that i will see 2 times a week tops and have no practical use at all is just too much.

Too bad too. I kinda wanted the statue, to take the place of a gimongous tree in my courtyard. But 4500? There are movies out next week that I want more.

In US, 14,000 crowns cost $99.99. This house costs $99.99.

So when people buy this what's going on in their heads? I'm not trying to be snarky. Just...how do you justify it?

If a 50% off sale was going on, I'd consider it. But $100... unfurnished? I can buy 2 entire games for that! :/

    @Giraffon :
How do I justify any purchase? If I can afford it after expenses/savings and it makes me happy, why not?

A book worth 8.99 will give me entertainment for a few days, maybe a week.
A beer worth 4 bucks will give someone entertainment for half an hour.
A manor house will often give me entertainment for months+ because I enjoy decorating and because I enjoy RPing in them.

Everyone has guilty pleasures, and frankly the little ones often add up to more over time than one-time large purchases.

It's a large price tag, arguably more than it's worth, but if you buy your crowns at 40-50% discounts, that ends up at 50-60 bucks rather than 100.

This has probably been answered before, but can someone tell me how to see all the individual items in a furnishing pack before I buy it?

Right-click on the package and select Bundle Details. You can also preview each furnishing item separately this way (and see why they picked the camera angle that they did for the store preview image, lol).

Really? The picture has items in it that aren't actually in the pack? Sheesh!

I was interested in this pack, but it's 500 more than the other furnishing packs they released so far. Disappointing especially considering how much was in the previous one - there were 32 items in that pack. Sure, about half were craftable, but you still ended up with at least 16 unique items and one of them was a target dummy.

I'll reserve final judgement until I get home, but depending on how many items are actually in the pack (and how many of them are craftable in-game), I may just pass. I passed on the Azura pack specifically because it was 4000 crowns for basically the statue w/moon & star pedastals, banners/tapestry, a book, and a bunch of craftable daedric furniture. Since there is already an Azura statue in-game from an achievement vendor, I passed on it.

This, however, to my recollection is the first Divines statue. Sure, we have the shrines from the luxury vendor, but I think this is the only statue.

ETA: Was the Daedric library pack 5,000? I don't remember because I didn't pay that much attention, since I had quickly decided I didn't want it.

EDIT: Whoops! I quoted myself rather than clicking on edit. Duh...

    Pass.

The furnishing cap is to low for this house to be worth the money at all.

There is 0 reason to buy this, unless they increase a cap from 700 to 2500.

For that type of money I will just buy a new ship in Star Citizen. At least for $100s of dollars I basically am getting a new class, mount, house, career arc, etc. For the house purchase, I get very little utility (can't even decorate the scale needed for its size).

Much cheaper to just "visit" by entering the preview instance (can access from outside front door even after sale ends). Then I can still enjoy the view and RP that its my place.

Same way people justify spending $200 on concert tickets, except I've enjoyed my previous $100 house for an entire year.

So it sounds like opportunity cost is pretty much the driving force here.

Okay, maybe not exactly as you may or may not be giving up something else in exchange for purchasing this house, but folks are at least thinking things like, if I'm willing to spend money on this other item that costs at least as much and gives me less value and enjoyment than this virtual house I want, then I should also buy this house. It's the logical thing to do!

"I should also" for me at least becomes "I should instead". Because why would I spend more money long-term on something that overall gives me less enjoyment?

The statue and the pergola are enormous. Both of them are as tall as the second story of Mistveil Manor. I couldn't even zoom out enough to get pictures. Everything else is reasonably sized.

I love everything in the Dibella pack but I don't have 4500 crowns just now and even if I did, I'd rather spend them piece meal. The one thing I truly want from the set is the fountain, which is jaw dropping gorgeous, and if it's ever available for individual purchase or by crafting I'll be happy to splurge.

The butterflies, flowers, and statue are lovely, though I don't have a house big enough for that statue and my aesthetic is thus far Redguard, the stones are ok, the pergola is likely too huge. I can't justify spending on the package when so much of it would sit in inventory for so long.

Sorry, ZoS Marketing. I have very high sales resistance when it comes to crown items, and will do without a thing I want if I have to spend extra on stuff I don't have a use for to get it.
