Imbalance imsmalanche. Dude, High Elves are most popular because they are superior race, born to rule. Less popular races are so exactly for that reason: they are lesser. Of course, who wouldn't like to be amazing supreme High Elf? So naturally the most supreme and awesome race is the most popular.

And the reason you have killed the most High Elves is because your character is a racist Im sure. It cannot accept the fact that a race can be greater than itself, so of course it becomes hateful and seeks revenge primarily targeting high elves. So your numbers become so skewed that not even the High Elf master combat skills can compensate for it. It's sad.

Except that it DOES matter. 9% magicka recovery, elemental damage, 10% max magicka DOES matter a lot. I asked but I was being sarcastic, not expecting people to actually come with bullsh__. As others already stated and backed me up, it's a huge boost.

If the 9% magicka recovery, 10% max magicka and 4% elemental damage isn't enough to skew things.... the fact that they feature as the lead race of the ALDMERI DOMINION and are the truest elven styled race (you can make an argument for bosmer as well with this) and elven races in rpg are always popular.

But in reality, except for nords... all the races have a niche.

1st: 54 high elves already killed
2nd: 46 - dark elf
3rd: 31 - wood elf
4th: 24 - nord
5th: 23 - redguard
6th: 15 - Breton
7/8th: 14/14 - khajits and orcs
9th: 13 - argonians
10th: 9 - imperials

Why exactly is it frustrating? I've always played a dark elf in Elder Scrolls games, including ESO, I have zero frustrations about it, I actually enjoy it.

It is not and most of the time in Pve it is better then high elfs 9% Regen and only slightly behind the argonian pot passive.

I know maybe one person that would do that, I would hardly say "most". The casual player is the norm for MMO's now, not min-maxers, so not sure where you are getting your numbers from.

High elves are the most killed because of a lot high elf characters are for PvE and not for PvP. So a fair amount of them probably don't wear much Impen

not so long ago ZOS published some game statistics. Among them was the most popular race: High elf, which I think was 34% of all characters created.

i accidentally made a beautiful bosmer warden when i came back to game. but since my main was stamblade for 2 years i actually want to change my stamblade from dunmer to same bosmer. on the other hand both chars being same looking bosmer would be lame i guess.

i dunno why i made her dunmer in first place. maybe i thought someday i would try magblade.

The issue is that the difference is far, faaaar more than 0.05%.

I would like to be able to play a Bosmer magwarden without feeling like I'm gimping myself. With the way the racials are implemented - % bonuses instead of flat - a magicka character gains much more from percentage bonuses aimed at max mag and magicka regen than it does from bonuses that benefit stamina. I'd be happy if I just benefitted from my racials as much as characters who fit their race to their build do, instead of getting effectively zero benefit.

Altmer/dunmer/breton have like 5k+ more max magicka than any other race. Altmer and dunmer also have extra elemental damage.

That gives them a huge boost over other races. 5k magicka is the equivalent of 475 spell damage. Then you have have the 2-7% boost to elemental damage, which also substantially increases DPS.

The differences between the races are massive. The same applies to stamina, of course.

Bad at math, eh? 5k more requires a 50k pool to begin with... If you have 50k magicka there is no content you cant complete. So what is the issue really?

Thinking of magicka players... NBs mostly go Dunmer, healers mostly go Argonian, DKs go Dunmer(not that they really exist these days lol)... Oh Sorcs are Altmer, dang!

Seriously, like really, this community needs to stop complaining about non-existent problems. Quality getting lower and lower by day.

Nope High elves are just the biggest ***. They're best at that I'll admit. If high elves were all that they'd still have men enslaved. But they couldn't even keep their slaves in line.

I have a nord magicka nightblade,it is my main, why nord? why magicka? why nightblade?

Easy,as a magblade i use siphoning skill tree,for that i need light armor so full points to magicka,nord for the health regen passives and extra defense. I plan to be a defensive mage with self survivality.

No I just don't find aesthetics to be a worthwile reason to pick a race over stats since I don't sit there staring at my characters and other than the log in screen I only ever see their backs when I'm playing.

Usually i love elves but in TES i prefer Imperials..idk if I’ll stick with magic in this game

You know that this is "frag counter", this can also mean that this race is easiest to kill or that magicka classes are easier to kill also PvP != PvE. On top of that it can be affected by which alliance you play (no, adventurer's pack isn't owned by 100% of player base). In other words your numbers are not representative, as an example I can list races of my 15 toons (10 of them at max lvl):
4 redguars
3 altmers
3 bretons
2 bosmers
2 dunmers
1 khajiit

The only ones who can tell us, which race is the most popular are the devs, because even if you'd do a survey here, it would only represent fraction of player base who uses forums and wanted to vote.
