suggestion: change impulse

Nobody really uses impulse - the final skill in the destruction staff tree - anymore. It used to be good, but it's had too many changes and is now less powerful than any other ability in its class.

I would like to suggest changing impulse and its morphs to a single target execute - style ability with varying effects based on staff type. Currently all stamina based weapons (minus shield) have some manner of execute, while many magicka characters are left wanting.

So I would like to suggest the following:

Impulse
Channel a beam of elemental energy at tee target for 3 seconds. Deals up to 300% additional damage against enemies below 50% health.

Morph: pulsar
Gains an additional effect based on your staff type:
fire: deals 25% additional damage to burning enemies.
lightning: 75% of the damage dealt is also dealt to all enemies within 5m of the target.
frost: while channeling you gain major protection and immunity to interrupts and control effects.

Morph: elemental ring
While channeling you are surrounded by a ring of elemental energy that damages and knocks back enemies who enter it.

M'asad - Khajiit Nightblade - Healer
Pakhet - Khajiit Dragonknight - Tank
Raksha - Khajiit Sorcerer - Stamina DPS
Bastet - Khajiit Templar - Healer

    So take an AOE skill and replace it with jesus beam?

    That's a pretty bad idea, imo.

    We all know that they will choose the " easy way " and nerf the lightning staff Heavy attack aoe damage in order to make " both choices interresting ".

    That seems good. Doubt it will happen because it would be an indirect DK buff and ZOS doesn't like.

    I really dislike the idea. Destro needs his aoe spammable, so impulse should just be buffed in order to be competitive against lightning HA (and not a nerf to lightning HA, even if I'm afraid Apherius is right…).
    Plus, an another execute beam would be boring and dangerous in pvp.

    If Dk should get an execute, give one of their passive a boost to their dots against low-health target.

    Destro already has an aoe spammable with blockade and force pulse, but there are magicka characters who would benefit from an execute

    They should better change the whole skill.
    Something original like Deadly cloak, maybe a buff to our elemental damage ? I don't have any idea, i just know that we do not need this to be an Aoe skill or a dot ( we Already have 1 dot, it's enough for a weaponskill line, And, if we really need another dot they should buff the Destructif Clench).
    We do not need another spammable either.

    To your suggested changes:
    A clear no. Rather not using it at all than having an other balance issue, as if there were not enough already...
