Is T-Bagging a Reportable Offense

So, you can teabag/clam slam all day long and nothing will happen but if you were to text someone "kys" you'll get permabanned. I fail to see the difference using the logic in these comments that these are just pixels and we shouldn't be bothered by them.

because t-bagging is a visual taunt that is hard to prove.

while typing Kys is logged in the chat, can be used as evidence, and is against the ToS.

spaming voice only emotes, and the couch button is not reportable.

while kys can be seen as a threat based on context of use.

i mean, that's kinda the joke isn't it?

i used to run around with a pocket healer in rift and when we'd kill a solo person i'd say, "1v1 owned" and the subsequent tells from people who didn't "get" the joke were pretty great.

Stepping foot into Cyrodiil and IC means you are participating in pvp whether you like it or not. You may find some willing to give you a pass but you should by no means expect that.

I don't do this to other players since I believe it is silly and childish but it's really nothing, some moving pixels.

Pretty much this. If the player base put their focus more on the games problems instead if getting their feelings hurt over a video game we might just make progress.

Anyhow this sort of winging only proves the futility of "detoxification" efforts. Sore losers will just look for any niggling quibble to report other players in hopes of getting them banned.

If anything it makes all the whining offended individuals look incredibly stupid and weak. Like the kids who want a medal for finishing last in a race. It's sad.

basic common courtesy and respect is not the equivalent of a medal.

I had this happen to me yesterday-- I'm not a frequent pvp'er, despite my 500+ CP levels im ctually quite new to it. Got into a duel against a magblade, on my stamblade. We literally could not kill each other. After 10 minutes the magblade ran out of area and I won by default.

Afterwards some sorc comes up, challenges me, kills me in all of six seconds, and I thought to myself "wow hes good-- on a totally different level than myself, I should----"

Then he started tea bagging my corpse and it dashed out any of the admiration I had for his skill and just made me think of what an immature, limp noodled neckbearded he most certainly was. I could literally smell his axe body spray through my monitor.

LOL, like the type of person who runs out and buys axe body spray by the bundle after seeing those cheesy commercials about hordes of women smelling the spray and running after him?

First thing first, this amount of attention to this topic proves that teabagging is working to taunt players, and "teabaggers" already won.

Anyhow, when I sign up for PvP I expect PvP. I expect to fight other players to survive, have a good time, and not bother about peoples feelings. If I were to care about other peoples feelings then I probably reroll healer, and go play PvE content, and join a social guild.

Everyone has different playstyle, some like to group up & be social, some like to play solo & 1vX other players. As a solo player, you want a real challenge, and what the best way to get 1vX fights? Taunting players of course, make them come after you. There are alot of ways to taunt others, you could type something like "ez pz" after killing them, you could crouch up & down on their body (also called teabagging), do emotes, or any other way that could trigger a fight.

Now, if you sign up for PVP, also called "Player versus Player", you should expect that you will be fighting other players. Taunting is common in any game, or IRL if your looking to fight. If you can't handle taunts(also another way of saying "I challenge you to fight me"), then why are you signing up for player versus player content.

Best example I could give is probably MMA fights IRL. Just google it, here is a link to someone explaining.

MMA, boxing, and any other fighting sport IRL is probably the closest you get to PvP IRL, and should be the only thing you compare it to. People said "you wouldnt teabag another person IRL", well.. I probably would If I were doing some kind of MMA fight, and tryd to taunt my opponent.

So yeah, conclusion is that teabaggin/taunting has nothing to do with sexual harasment, it is legal IRL in fighting. And should not be considered a bannable offense. It has the goal making the opponent lose focus, and try to get ya.
