Actually, though the ToS are against harassment, tbagging is hard to prove. The gm only take into account in game text. Unless you admitted to doing it, it is hard to report.

I've been gaming 30 years I'm 33 years old. tbagging has been around since quake/golden eye 007 for the n64.

not once have I've seen people get ban for doing it. And i've played halo 1 2 3

no one with ptsd should get triggered by because it doesn't remotely look like anything, or they would have it any time a character crouched. again in my 30 years of gaming i've never heard of a person having a panic attack over it.

there is a screen cap of a fake response from a zos "gm" floating around. But it is proven fake, as gm need evidence to strike an account. There is no recorded gameplay, only text logs.

Also gm do not, nor can have bad grammar as they need to be clear with the rules. With talk of people knowing more then one langue, this is not the case as gm have to be fluent in the langue of the region they are in.

    stop spreading mis-info please.

:D People get that upset over pixels? I’ve only had it happen a couple times to me and I laugh, it shows that they aren’t taking the game overly seriously. You know, like the people who spew mass hatred via tells? xD but yeah...no wonder people do it if people get this triggered!

Lol do people actually get triggered that hard with teabagging, it's annoying yes but to take it that harshly... the trick is to not care and if you get annoyed with tbagging then the tbagger got what they eanted

You got nearly insta banned on Swg if you did that when it was live so yeah you can get banned in MMO's for doing it

That's that mmo, I mean eso has lore where the main villian literally made vamparism with a certain evil act... eso is aimed at more mature audiences.

I get what you're trying to say, but I don't know if t-bagging could ever be called mature.

I never said t bagging is mature, I said learning to not be offended by it is mature. if I told everyone to like me and expect them to be nice to me and to have everything my way then you'd probably have the mind of a child. Everyone that's matured should know to ignore these people and let them expose themselves. If you are annoyed and give them what they want then they win.

    This I agree

    Does not make tbagging right

glad we agree here, tbagging is a *** move but doesn't mean it should be bannable...

Oh no I guess you win! Now we have to ban everyone that goes into stealth mode after exiting combat in cyrodiil, just to be sure we get rid of all the potential tea baggers! You know, since they’re such nasty people, after all!

    This community has no hope

I'm encouraged by the fact most people talking in these teabag threads are against teabagging being worthy of ban, and cringing at the comments suggesting its sexual harrassment\assault

I would guess the people who are offended by teabagging are less likely to post about it, especially considering the way that people are defending it here.

I don't really get why people are defending it so much, it's just lazy when we have so many good emotes to use. I prefer /stomp.

    /stomp isn't immature enough.

Holy crap, this thread blew up.

Just my two cents. Yeah, t-bagging is definitely immature and makes you look like kind of a dickweed if you do it. But calling it sexual assault is... stretching it, no? It's not like you're doing it to someone's corpse in real life. It's just pixels- a good lesson to learn is that in a virtual world, other people's actions have no power over you unless you let them. And you have the ability to respawn and move on, dwelling on it is unnecessary.

Again yes, it's a childish act, but honestly there are bigger problems in the world. Like real sexual assault. Things like this actually make me kind of worry that actual sexual assault (which absolutely should be taken seriously) will be taken less seriously as a consequence, because people think that things like this qualify.

I really don’t like it IRL and I consider it criminal offence. As per ingame tea bagging I consider it to be nothing more then sign of imaturity or sillyness and I do not thing you should punish it harshly.

    This.

    Is.

    Beyond idiotic.

No, let me rephrase that. Back in the 90s, then we had level 80 idiocy. Things like a first grader being suspended for kissing another first grader on the cheek, because obviously sexual harassment (obviously!).

This is more like...level 20 stupidity, casually grinding its way forward. An electronic character is crouching over another electronic character, with no nudity or *** involved - which, by the way, is yet another kind of immature stupid, but I suppose that's the trend these days (at least among emotional ten year olds) - and someone is seriously inquiring whether this is a reportable offense or if it constitutes sexual harassment?!

For the sake of those posters, I am going to assume that you all are just trolling the forums. Or, alternatively, have a quest where one must fulfill every negative millennial generation stereotype in return for an extra 50 likes on...some thing or another.

Incidentally, I've been - and I've said this before - PVPing in MMOs since the mid-90s (MUDs back then, of course, but graphical MMOs not too long after). Every single PVP MMO environment I've ever seen is going to include between 20% and 90% emotionally immature idiots (in one notable instance, the admins themselves, god-moding into the middle of a fight and decapitating/silencing/immobilizing people permanently - or until they got bored and restored the characters - "for lulz").

I suspect this is due to the combination of apparent anonymity (superficially speaking, i.e. viz. other users and not the actual service provider), and no negative feedback to most actions in most instances. It's the same as with the idiots jumping on Twitter/Reddit/whatever threads threatening to *** and murder someone. If you were talking to them face to face, nine out of ten they'd shut it, and in the tenth case they'd get kicked in the teeth sooner or later. But online...yes. And then when you add in the PVP "I ganked you! l33t r0x0rz!" environment, I have to believe the effect is magnified, it certainly has been in my personal experience.

So again. This is how life works. This is the world we live in. And this particular action is wholly, utterly meaningless (and for the 0.000001% who will flip out at watching one electronic character crouch over another because of some prior traumatic experience - perhaps they ought to consider not engaging in "realistic-looking" MMO PVP in the first place, because who the hell knows what else is going to trigger them). Grow a bloody pair, and this includes the women of the assemblage (metaphors! ha!).

Now if you all will excuse me, there is a particularly cheerful looking cloud I must yell at.

Despite the fact you are right, I must say tbagging is pitiful behavior and even if it has no sexual connotation is it is ment to insult and belittle those whom it is performed on. Folk who practice it deserve a punch in the face irl, just as a mean to bring them back on earth a bit.

Lordy. Wow. Love that people are getting upset over an over-used & slightly immature emote, blathering about sexual harassment etc (really? Kinda belittles irl harassment does it not?).

This is a game in which you are rewarded for killing things including other players. You can even be a cold-blooded assassin.
But that's part of the game so it's fine. It's expected and ok.

But a fully dressed character bobbing up and down over a prone character, also fully dressed, is somehow harassment?

Get a sense of perspective. Or humour.

Because not everyone's the same and some take it more differently than others

Then why 10 years ago everyone would just laugh at these petty actions. I'm only noticing people getting bothered by everything these past couple years. Especially here in North America. It's going backwards here and people are sensitive to everything. I miss working in Europe sometimes. People there don't care about stupid crap, laugh and just live their lives as best they can.

The same thing is happening in just about every western country. Includes most of the EU

Ah okay people complaining about T-Bgs, how inmature are you ?
If you want to feed the troll, flame the T-Bg, dude give him his attention which he needs, rage towards him and he will continue.
You dont get banned for that ***, you dont even get banned if you insult people in whisper chat, flame them, insult their mother, wish them illnes or any stuff like that.
It doesnt matter, you can check Eso Videos, for example "Kasas" https://youtube.com/channel/UCfQQH9WTKrdJyzYwJRCqVhw , and take a look on video which is called "mining salt ", all those people still play the game, even if they insulted her in an way which is bann worthy.
