For what it's worth, the current issues with the European servers are due to a problem with a major ISP in EU. It should be clearing up soon, if not already, though.

thanks, and sorry, such reactions from the user aren't always easy to take, i hope you are used to it :)

Don't apologize on my behalf for voicing my dissatisfaction with a product that is not working as intended.
I think I held it in a sober tone and did not insult, herass or lay blame on any of the ZOS staff.
Gina is the community manager, it's part of her job to carry message between the players and the developers/publishers.

While I understand such things are out of your control - it does seem that the problem is always with the EU and surely it hasn't been ISP every single time. Care to ellaborate on which ISP is causing issues? Must be a Frankfurt one for people to be hit all across Europe, right? I play World of Warcraft, who hosts servers in Frankfurt too, and they have not been experiencing any server problems at all these past days.

And if it "should be clearing up soon, if not already" why are we then having server maintenance again tomorrow - if it is indeed an ISP issue?

I am sorry but my issue was nothing to do with the european ISP.

It is a launcher issue. Every patch seems to be getting worse. Repair freezes on 1st run @ 4% after about an hour it begins to run. On 2nd run through it freezes @ 2%. If you then close the launcher and reopen the play button mysteriously appears.

This suggests to me that the repair has actually worked but the launcher is bugged at reporting the fact.

Oh and this is not a dig at any of the forum admins or ambassadors as they are only here reporting the information they are told :)

Oh please, seriously, these issues popped up AS SOON as Jesters fest started, and have continued ever since till now.

It would be QUITE the coincidence if the issues were REALLY with the ISP directly on time for the events.

This is incredulous and insane. I have been a loyal, paid, subscriber of ESO for almost three years now. I was a Beta Player. I have never, ever, experienced such an untenable situation as what is happening now. I was supposed to lead, organize, and run a daily Dolmen farming and XP grinding event for my guild on April 9, 2018 at 7:00 PM EST. I live in the United States, in Massachusetts. I could not stay logged in and connected to the servers, I could not travel to another zone, port to another player, explain my problems in group or guild chat, or even open a freaking door to get out of the Fighter's Guild Hall in Daggerfall! I STILL cannot even login. This, despite absolutely everything I tried to fix this incredibly frustrating and unacceptable problem.

I am a trained PC repair specialist and network administrator. I tried no less than 20 different solutions to fix my connection issues. These included ESO client repairs (3x), clean reinstalls of the ESO client (2x), installing the ESO client on its on special, separate partition on a secondary hard drive on my PC (2x), as well as updating my motherboard, network, chipset, audio, and video drivers for my GTX 1080. I deleted my entire "live' folder, including the user settings and addons text files, the shader cache, the addons folder, absolutely everything, to ensure that everything was clean and according to default original settings.

ZOS alleges that the maintenance on April 9 arose from some problem Japanese players had with the pre-purchase of the Summerset expansion, and they issued an "incremental" patch?" I apologize, but what does this matter to me, more than half a world away, in the United States, when I had my whole guild depending on me to run a guild event the evening of April 9? I am so frustrated with Zenimax at the moment. And, other posters are completely accurate: this whole sorry mess began at the inception of the Jester's event, and is only getting worse. And now ZOS insists on performing another maintenance on April 10, 2018, at 6:00 AM EST? This is like t he 4th or 5th maintenance that has happened during the Anniversary event, which has a limited duration (like all holiday events). I am wasting time, gold, XP scrolls, and potentially might not be enabled to achieve my Champion Point level goal by the conclusion of the Anniversary Event, all because of these ridiculous connection issues.

Please, ZOS, stop mucking about with things that were not broken to begin with. I just want to play and to enjoy ESO yet again. And yes, I have submitted a ticket. I hope this sorry state of affairs will be cleared up ASAP. For everyone that is still experiencing these connection issues, I feel your pain. Hopefully ZOS will provide an answer that will satisfy us very soon.

It was not ZOS problem. There was a power blackout in frankfurt, which leads in internet problems mainly in germany and other services that hosted in frankfurt

So that explains 1 part of the issue, what time did this occur?
as the issue for some started with patching and for others almost as soon as the server was available after the long maintenance

So odd that I wasn't affected by the Frankfurt outages since I live pretty close to there.

Wish I'd known at the time, I would have liked to do some tracing to see how I managed to avoid it.

    Thanks for the information.

This doesn't excuse the poor state of the EU servers in general and the aweful amount of maintenances this past week, however it explains what happened last night.

I still don't understand why we have a server maintenance again today, if it was just a power outage - which isn't really the same as problems with ISP as Gina said.

A comment without context isn't really transparency - transparency would be to give us a report of why it was decided to merge server maintenance times and place them at a time that is super convenient for NA and very inconvinient for EU.

Transparency is about decisions made by the company behind closed doors, which affect us as customers - not so much about outside factors which the company has nothing to do with anyway.

And we still lack an explanation for why EU servers are historically performing way worse than NA servers, why there has to be ANOTHER maintenance today and why (as mentioned) EU lost their seperate maintenance time.

Giving answers to these issues would be transparency.

Well, they should probably rename this "Anniversary Event" the "Maintenance Event," because we've had more maintenance downtimes than we've had actual playtimes. And I just finally got my client to stop disconnecting from the servers too. At least I got my CP level to 500, which was my goal for "the event." Assuredly, I have a vested interest in hanging tight throughout these endless server disconnects, maintenance windows, and downtimes, because I still enjoy the game, despite all the many problems ESO has experienced lately. Yet, I wonder how many players will be lost because of all the frustration and exasperation this has caused.

Nothing new here. Beth and Z only no how to sell, sell, sell, Not how to fix. If they say the problem is fixed, than why did the very same thing happen last week ? and the week before that,.. Just goes on and on , and on. No fix here as usual..
