It’s not the number of loading screens - the flower power quest has more loading screens.

I don’t think it’s the amount of distance to travel mounted - flower power seems a bit longer maybe or at least closely equal.

I think it’s the combat. And a few little things.

The flower power quest and the lipstick pig have zero combat and have a streamlined feel to them when trying to sprint through them.

The pyro quest had me cussing over the carp damage my tank does, taking forever to drop those mobs alone. I liked tagging a bunch of them and then some random person came along and dropped them all. And when mounted with rapids it still feels like it takes a long time to get from A to B because of getting slowed by steps, or slowed by a rock while going around the mountain, or not quite making the leap from hill to the pave stones directly above the glowing bones and falling there, or stopping dead in your tracks as your mount runs into an npc/obstacle hiding in the mob of players sprawling on those wooden platforms.

Very very close between the Pig and the Emeric one. The Emeric one is annoying as it takes longer and you have to race against other people for kills and grabbing nodes.

But there are two reasons why I voted for the Pig quest over the DC one:

1) Getting yanked out of stealth just to pick up an apple is absurd.

2) Nothing to do with the game itself, but the suggestion of Jorunn with a pig.... Reminds me of Black Mirror episode one with the Prime Minister and the pig. Just disturbs me to the core.

However, I love two lines from the Pig quest. For some reason I love listening to that woman get upset every time she realizes her pig was stolen. And my favorite line of the Jester's Festival:

"His meatiness Skald-King Jorunn...."

It's hard for my low level characters to fight in delves. They are just for craft and storing things, I don't level them. When they get skillpoints, they all go to cratf. So, they are not good for fight at all. Luckily, I got all wanted quickly - lovely tent pattern, adorable coffer and a new memento - and I don't have to struggle in delves any more.

This event bores me to tears probably because the rewards are lame. I don't mind the silliness if there's something worth working for (like motifs) but there are no rewards that I care about.

They all suck after the first run-through.

I guess I like the stealing one the best because it is the fastest. I usually steal and then switch characters though so my bounty can return to zero.

The Glenumbra one is particularly bad as after doing the time consuming dungeons, I still have to do the fireworks crap.

I am grateful the even is brief, because I feel compelled to grind it, even though it is mind numbing and the rewards are crap. Completely my fault, I know.

I wish they'd just let us do this in any delve, and then it wouldn't be so overcrowded and annoying to have to jostle with other players over resources. I don't like PvP in any form and anything that encourages people to be rude and rush in to grab something you're clearly fighting mobs over is just not fun.

I don't really enjoy any of them more then once and away from the endorphin rush of loot boxes, I don't see why anyone else would either.

In general, this game has outstanding writing and good stories, but the actual mechanics of the quests are awful and not designed to be interesting when repeated.

All of them because they make you travel too much and when the server is already stressed that is way too many loading screens

Same with the winter festival

I prefer halloween..no quests just killing stuff for lewt

The whole thing is enough to make me join the grumpy priests, citizens of skywatch and the college. Thank goodness it isn’t lasting longer. Hopefully they will reduce the length of other festivals too. All I hear in guilds are moans about the prices dropping on the recipes.

Emeric's wins for me. Mostly because of length, but partially because of having to compete for mobs and nodes. It really could have been two quests.

Jorunn's is next, due solely to the broken apple basket.

It was close between Emeric and Ayrenn as both take too long but competing for resources is not fun.

The pig is my favorite. My characters love stealing and who doesn't love souped up, high speed racing pigs.

Ok stealing the apple is a close second but getting 16 bits of junk when the mobs are 2 miles apart and dead before you even see them gets old fast!

Because it is damn near impossible to steal the apples without getting caught. Getting the pig back without getting a bounty isn't too difficult - so long as you don't already have a bounty and don't have to worry about the guards.

Emeric's quest was my least favorite last year, and it's the same this year.

The biggest reason has been stated several times: having to compete with other players for kills and for nodes. I did the quests on most of my characters on both accounts yesterday and the Emeric quest was the killer every time. That one was a pain to do on my tanks and on my other characters... The competition still gets annoying. People taking nodes you're fighting directly on top of is a common one, but yesterday I had somebody actively chaining mobs away from me and another person using the templar javelin to knock things away from me.

Fortunately I'm only doing the quests once more today and then that's it. I've got all the new items, so once I've got a good supply of dazzlers (that really should have been the new memento instead of what we got) I'll be done and back to playing Witcher 3.

This is my first time doing this festival and, to be honest, I wish it didn't exist. The quests are tedious, although thankfully there are only 3 of them and the drops are really not worth the annoyance of the quests. Mercifully I got 3 of the "prized" Dubious Cameron Throne recipe on my first day so that was the festival done for me as I wanted this recipe for my crafter.

Personally I wish it was just a double XP weekend and be done with it.

only reason why Jorunn is my favorite - but his puns, range from being routine (which is okay for puns) to being scream-cringe-worthy (which are the best kind of puns)

Jester King Emeric sends us to not one but two delves to compete for limited resources with other players. That's exactly what I what to do for a fun festival: reenact the resource farming fights of double-node DLC anniversaries! Not! Jester King Jorunn proves that "Khajiit like to sneak" and we all prove that unless you sneak in exactly the right way and the guards are all looking the other direction, we all can't steal a couple apples without getting caught. Then its off to grab Princess the Pig, who is a champion racer of a pig, able to keep up with max-speed, rapids-using warhorses in her quest to escape the murderous Butcher and elope with her own true love. For the most "stealthy" of the missions, tis quest does not reward stealth at all, with most players detected stealing the apples and avoiding the Butcher by sprinting madly through the streets of Ebonheart. Plus, uh, anyone who's characters are law-abiding? No fun for you.

Jester Queen Ayrenn's quest is just tedious. Trot through a city -> press a button to throw petals on two people ->wayshrine to next city -> Trot through a city -> press a button to throw petals on two people ->wayshrine to next city-> trot over bridge ->loading screen into building, OMG the excitement -> press a button to throw petals on two grumpy professors who deserve it -> back to Jester Queen Ayrenn who's like "I'm exhausted just watching you run everywhere, LOL!"

Don't get me wrong. I think the Jester's Festival Quests are kind of fun and at least they are mercifully quick once you know how to do them. But part of that merciful quickness is that they are very tedious. From Jorunn's quest where the excitement comes from wondering if you'll get a bounty despite being in stealth, to Emeric's quest fighting with other players to get the stuff you need, and Ayrenn's quest of running pressing buttons...the Jester's Festival is a giant prank on players.

I agree with your negative views of all three. I do the flowers one because it's the shortest. There's a bug or poor design or whatever that makes it hard to pick it up one day, turn it in another, and then get it again -- but I don't much care, as I'm not eager to repeat it that often anyway.

I only did pig quest one time, last year. It is disgusting A man wants to merry a pig, and all those things he says are disturbing when you know it's being sad about the animal "wife"... I understand that they tried to make fun of his love for food, but in my opinion they failed so hard
I think the apples stealing and running away with a pig was fun experience as for the quest objectives. But the king jester really creeps me out

Queen is fun, her quest is just a bit annoying when you don't have wayshrines unlocked on new alts.
Emeric's quest is very annoying (have to compete for mobs, and travel to two delves), but still much better than pig quest

Just because it's longer that the others, I want to load all of my characters, so I must hurry a lot and the shorter the quest, the better.

Otherwise I would have voted the pig one as the worst, it's just ride and listen to that ugly orc voice yelling "ma pig!" I would have preferred an option to kill the chef (and I'm not into killing npcs, usually).

The one in Auridon is boring after a few times you do it, but fast enough.

So the Daggerfall one is the best, it's just I want to do the quests with all the characters and time is what it is.
