LOL. You don't need 45K DPS to beat vMoL non-HM. You don't even need 35K DPS. Here on PC/NA, I see that the guilds that train people for progressing through vMoL usually only ask for minimums of around 30-35K unbuffed (except for ele/pierce) on dummies.
If you look at the videos and screenshots from when Hodor got the world's first speedrun of vMoL, the highest DPS they had on Rakkhat was around 32K. This was someone who didn't run back, including cleave on the hulk, with raid buffs. And with that level of DPS, they got the speedrun and skipped Lunar.
People forget that vMoL was released two years ago, and how much the game has changed since then. Back then, 40K DPS was simply impossible and unheard of. If a guild asks for 45K, then either they are looking for pushing competitive scores (i.e., they're not in the business of training players and expect that people already know what to do) or their leadership has a poor grip on reality. Either way, it sounds like that particular guild isn't the one for you.

Race means nothing.
Show them a good parse, they won't care what race you are.
I know a friend that does well over 40k selfbuffed with a Wood Elf Stamblade. Don't blame the race.
Paying for skin is perfectly fine. Thinking that it devalues the skin sounds like an inferiority complex to me. I wear a skin because it fits my character.

If you're fine with that though, awesome go pay for it.
Pretend you're good enough to clear vMaw on your own accord by "flexing" an achievement based skin that you don't have the skill to achieve.
Ppl will know how you got that skin when they play hard content with you.
If you're having trouble finding solid groups to run with chances are it's you and not the others.
I don't have any trouble finding/building groups that are capable of succeeding in hard content.
Hardest content in the game ain't for everyone...
@Amp151 I will strongly disagree with you. The reason I was able to obtain Emperor and even put time into Trials was because I was unemployed and single at the time. I had plenty of time to be flexible with my schedule. Now that I have a full time job as a graphic designer and a boyfriend, I find it hard to sacrifice any time to progressions. I was in a VMOL progression for months and for what my schedule is now, it is unfair of me to try and squeeze myself in progressions when I can not be 100% dedicated like I was in VMOL. Even when I did my paid VHOF run, I didn't die while others did and I still pumped out my max damage. I know for a fact that if I dedicated my time and effort into a progression in VHOF or VAS, I would be good DPS but it's the time I don't have.
I have a Fiancee and a full time job.
I still have time for progression(2 actually), gym, social things outside of this game etc..
Those are all just excuses imo.
Manage your time better to get all the things you want.
IMO skilled ppl don't need months to beat hard content.
Find or build a group and get it done.
Or pay for a skin and "flex" like you pulled your weight
To each their own.

Excuses to put time into real life things over a video game? It's great you manage it well enough to do all of that but I can not. I am an artist. I do side work outside of my full time job. I even help fellow artists get recognized. I get commissioned to do logos/websites/advertising brochures/ect. I will gladly pay fake money for a pixelated skin to "flex/impress" people who could careless if I died tomorrow. In the grand scheme of things, no one should waste their time caring if someone paid for their skin or not. It's a waste of their energy. I was there once. I did care. I looked down on people who paid for their VMOL skin but now I don't even waste my time judging or not. Enjoy the cosmetic of the game you nerds and have fun.

Sheesh triggered much?
It Seems that the career path and your life choices have lead to a life that has more pressure than you can handle.
Lashing out at ppl on forums for a video game because I have a different opinion than you is a bit odd and does little to prove your point.
You seem to care much more than I do.
Being that you're insulting me lol
Last sentence of my last post: "To each their own"
Feel free to think the way you'd like.
I'm not hating on you.
Just telling you the way some of us look at it.
In the end The ppl that pay for carries and the ppl that like to complete content on their own accord do not run in the same circles in terms of playing content together.
Feel free to play whichever way you want.
Plz try to refrain from your childish outbursts in the future.
It makes you look bad.

It's sickening I'd much more prefer to earn it but it's turning out to be literally impossible(no im not racechanging from bosmer to redguard not even if id pull 10k dps more),

@kylewwefan Totally agree.kylewwefan wrote: »Give it up. These people won’t get it. RL will always always always take priority over anything in this game.....always.

Not even joking a little bit. You’re doing the right thing.

Carries devalue the achievement and now skins, titles, nothing is an indication of anything. I can't stand this "I want it, so I should be able to get it" ideology. I too want the skin from vMoL and when my group completes it I will have it, I couldn't imagine wearing a skin that I bought for a carry.

Not even joking a little bit. You’re doing the right thing. And thank you. It's not like I am going to put "Completed VHOF" on my resume or somehow get demoted in life for paying for a skin in a game. Heck, I paid for a skin run for my boyfriend and he absolutely LOVES the skin. It's been over a month now and he still loves it and I love it on his khajiit.
I think our characters look so cute together. And I have the "former Empress" title and he has the "former Emperor" title so it makes it 100% more cute to me. Plus MageBlade/StamBlade and we try to match mounts. I could go on and on. Worth every 1.2M gold for that kind of fun and happiness to share daily with him.
@kylewwefan
Thank you for the response. I disagree though. Gaming is a hobby like any other hobby, and it does consume time and money. Every situation is different and requires individual judgement, but, generally speaking, 11 people are more important than 1. It's an MMO. There are 11 other very real people in a raid. For me, gaming is part of my real life. It's my hobby, and my partner needs to understand and respect that. Luckily, my girlfriend is as much a fan of ESO as I am. If my partner doesn't respect my hobby and friends, because yes, I consider some guild mates my friends, then she's the wrong partner for me.
Now, I get what you're saying. No matter what your hobby is, there are always ways to neglect certain aspects of your life. Your partner can feel neglected cuz you're working out too much, or riding bike too much, or working too much. It is your responsibility to balance your life. ESO has nothing to do with it. If someone lost his partner because of a balance disagreement, they might've lost their partner the same way if they had a different hobby or side activity, like chess club, politics, cocaine...
Generally, it's always better to pick a partner that fits you, one with similar interests. Sadly, many men just pick the first hole they see, but that's a story for another time. Communication and respect (both ways) are important. Without communication and respect, a relationship can't last. With or without ESO.
