Which faction do you prefer and why?

It's only by chance that only 2 of them are EP.
- The second Orc and second Kajiit were based on advice of guides for races. The second Redguard was an attempt to make the exact same character as the Bosmer because I generally don't like elves, but she looked too similar to the first redguard so after 30 levels deep in both I decided to keep the Bosmer and respec the skills on the Redguard to crafting...

I've got a thread over in the campaigns where I've been getting more and more surprised that there even are players here who 'main' a faction. I had assumed that sort of thing didn't happen here. But it looks like my case is actually the unusual one.

Daggerferll Covenant

DC & AD hero, working towards EP hero

Started with DC since my main is breton, and don't regret it. I picked this alliance because I also played Daggerfall many years ago, and wanted to revisit the zones in ESO. From my experience is the faction that seems the most balanced, even though it has this terrible past with the orcs.

The other factions are to racist towards their allies. Also I dislike how the nords are presented in this game like they are dumb or backwards. The EP faction seems the most unlikely, because the Argonians were/are slaves for the Dunmer. The AD also feels fragile, because the altmer consider themselves so superior to other all races. This feels even stronger in Summerset, where all newcomers are treated like odd creatures (the banker woman in Alinor is a good example)

In my opinion, as the game is now, factions should exist only for pvp purposes, when you enter pvp you get to choose a faction and you are stuck with it in pvp for the length of the campaign.

Aldmeri Dominion, I like queen Ayrenn a lot, the storyline is also very interesting. Ebonheart Pact is on the second place, interesting races and nice lands. Daggerfell Covenant is a bit bland to me.

Couldn't answer the poll because I honestly could care less. Being bound to a faction is pointless and annoying at best. Especially when you realize that to group in Cyrodiil with a new buddy you need to create a new character and waste days of your life in more mindless character leveling. Would be nice if new characters were not bound to a faction and you could just choose one on the fly as needed. Outside of Cyrodiil, factional gameplay is completely irrelevant.

That's not completely true. Even if your characters are all one faction, when you do Cadwell's Silver and Gold, you get to experience the other two factions so you ARE getting all three flavors. But for Cyrodiil and Imperial City, for me, it's EP all the way!

Because the color red is more attractive. No matter what shade of red i use the red always comes out looking awesome.

Blue is decent but everytime i try with yellow my character always looks like a bumble bee.

For me it's the Aldmeri Dominion. I wanted to play an Altmer so had to choose AD. Now that I can pick any race any faction, I still pick AD. I tried the Ebonheart Pack but I didn't like the dreary land compared to the bright colours of AD, I deleted that character and only choose AD.


I keep with AD now so when I finally get to the other quests in those provinces they are not spoiled for me.
