Are you currently in a relationship with someone you met on ESO?

Been with my bf for a bit over a year now. Met in ESO, we are from different countries, yet we manage to sit next to each other and play together couple times a year. Its hard but its worth it and hopefully soon it wont need to be hard anymore.
I wish you luck! My boyfriend and I are in different countries as well but we both are literally close to the boarder (America/Canada) so it’s actually closer than someone who lives in 46 of the other states (Ohio, Indiana, Michigan and Illinois being the only other states within the same driving time). A 5 hour drive isn’t so bad.

Its awesome to hear peoples stories of how they found their love in a game. I used to know someone that had that happen, and they moved away....sad but cool. Ive met LOTS of people IRL who have met eachother on WoW which, is pretty neat but more common to hear of considering the playerbase size. i am in love with the game itself though.
where is the option for "in a relationship with the game"?

Thank you! Indeed 5 hours is not bad at all. Its 1000 km for us. And plane is expensive, so 14 hours by bus, then 2 hours train and again 1 hour bus. We are living in Europe ^^

It's so sweet to hear of people who've found love either in-game or through being fans of the series as a whole, we're so happy for you!

Also congratulations to anyone who was featured in the Hearts Day Celebrations like Uriel_Nocturne!

      So @ZOS_Chris

If you meet in ESO, marry, and then divorce, do the GM’s take half of your gold and houses?

So where are the options for "We had a relationship, but fell out when he wouldn't resurrect me in that boss fight", or similar? How many relationships have ended because one partner is spending all their time in ESO, and the other isn't? This is a biased survey. >:)

I was always skeptical about couples met in multiplayer games. After few living examples, I'm still skeptical.

Why? Couples often share similar interests, it's the basis of the relationship.

I referring not to tickled pink users from the Internet, but to people I actually know, in real life. Their experience I can trust. And yeah, 'people busy being in love' part sounds to me at very least weird. No offence.

None taken. If being in love is weird to you then I guess there is nothing else to say about that part

But I dont really understand how you can make a judgement on the validity of internet relationships based only on people you know in real life. Relationships like this aren't exactly common so I don't think it's very likely anyone will know someone who entered a relationship from meeting online. But that doesn't mean it can't and doesn't happen.

I'm sure there are many relationships that started from multiplayer games which end up failing, just like in real life. But in our networked society with travel and communication easier than ever before, it's actually not that difficult or different to any other kind of relationship, at least in my opinion. Obviously until you actually meet in person, it's questionable, but I'd say the same about people talking on social media before meeting. After meeting I wouldn't say it's any different to a conventional relationship

I know it's a bit cliché but love really has no boundaries. My girlfriend has an Altmer. I hate Altmer.

Once, years ago, I ran around on the great hills of stormhaven. I was collecting jute and other materials like runestones and different mushrooms. There, when the sun was on its way down between the ashen cliffs, I fell in love with this game. It's been a rough relationship, I have cheated on eso many a time, sometimes harmless, sometimes devouring all the love between us, one time this happened was at the release of a new game. Black desert online, I spent all my days in that game, and almost forgot about eso, but as always, we found back together, eso have been bad to me too, crown crates, chapters and a broken shadow image. That shadow image made me leave, and everything broke down, I hear it's been fixed, and have a suspicion that soon I will find my love again.

Call me old fashioned but this seems highly unlikely and for those who it happened to, good luck to them.

For me personally I highly doubt this would ever happen, as someone said how do u cross the picture boundary?

Even if cross that bridge, my experience of irl gamer girls I've known are that they are generally not attractive to me, yes I'm a shallow man who needs to be attracted physically to any potential partner, highly unlikely as I said.

I have no time to think about dudes in that manner. And if I did, I'd probably freak myself out and run away very fast before any sort of feelers could take hold. On the rare occasion I notice a dude, I stomp the ever living crap outta that so fast.

But, I am happy for all the peoples that have found their person, no matter where it was they found each other. Yay you guys!
Wow, I gotta say, that made me feel kind of sad - and I really have no idea why since I'm not quite sure what it means. :/

I have repeatedly asked @Nestor for pics and he has thus far refused.

One time while about to go into vMOL for the first time (I believe this was in the pre-CP days) a WW character at random seemed to fall in love with my pink argonian. And invited me into his WW ERP guild so that we could get married.

I joined said guild, telling the Nightfighters I was about to join in vMOL about this, and then realized some people I knew in game from other guilds were in said ERP WW guild. I carefully hit "leave guild" and "mute player" and I'm not sure I've ever been the same again after what I experienced.

      I have witnesses to this.
