Jump -> block

Because if you’re in the air when you press block, your character dismounts but keeps moving forward.

I do the same thing when riding onto the porch of a keep, so the momentum carries me past the point where the dismount mechanic slows me down while I’m trying to get to a keep before it flags.

Ha. Everyone saying block.
I ROLL. Block gives you a few seconds where you cant pick up the node, roll is faster with a slight speed increase, no dismount to node collect cooldown as pressing the button to collect starts the animation to collect even in roll. and while light attack is quicker than block I have accidentally agrod civilians doing that so I learnt to roll instead.

Finally! I can't believe so many use block where you have to wait for the animation to end instead of just rolling off your mount and bam off you go. Much much faster, especially for a stam toon with bow.

Though I guess maybe it only works that way on console where pressing multiple buttons simultaneously is just as easy and fast as pressing one.

In PVP, I am usually spam mages wrath. Most other times, I block, despite the annoying animation/delay.

I used to use light attack until I hit a guard. Then I decided block was better.

I crouch (stealth). Since I'll more than likely have my "sneaky" set equip (5pc Night's Silence, 5pc Night Terror), this doesn't even slow me down and I don't have the delay that is caused by light attacking or using block.

I usually hit H, which is still bound to my horse. But sometimes I would just hit E to interact with a node or a wayshrine and dismount automatically. Since the recent patch though, that doesn’t always work—I’ve ridden up to wayshrines, hit E to activate the wayshrine and nothing happens until I hit H to dismount. (Not always...sometimes hitting E still works for me and sometimes it doesn’t).

Most of the time I think I am casting rapids and instead cast an AoE that causes me to dismount because I am always on the wrong bar. Other times some ganker provides that dismount service for me.

I usually only ride my mount in Cyrodiil.
