The Place by Tony Walsh Please Read
This is the place in the North West of England

It’s ace, it’s the best and the songs that we sing

From the stands, from our bands set the whole planet shaking

Our inventions are legends! There’s nowt we can’t make and

So we make brilliant music. We make brilliant bands

We make goals that make souls leap from seats in the stands

And we make things from steel and we make things from cotton

And we make people laugh, take the mick summat rotten

And we make you at home and we make you feel welcome

And we make summat happen, we can’t seem to help it

And if you’re looking for history then yes, we’ve a wealth

But the Manchester way is to make it yourself

And make us a record, a new number one

And make us a brew while you’re up, love. Go on!

And make us feel proud that you’re winning the league

And make us sing louder and make us believe it

that this is the place that has helped shape the world

And that this the place where a Manchester girl

Name of Emmeline Pankhurst from the streets of Moss Side

Led a Suffragette City with sisterhood pride

And this is the place with appliance of science

We’re on it, atomic, we strut with defiance

In the face of a challenge we always stand tall

Mancunians in union delivered it all

Such as housing and libraries, and health, education

And unions and co-ops, the first railway station

So we’re sorry! Bear with us! We invented commuters!

But we hope you forgive us – we invented computers!

And this is the place Henry Royce strolled with Rolls

And we’ve rocked and we’ve rolled with our own Northern Soul

And so this is the place to do business, then dance

Where go-getters and goal setters know they’ve a chance

And this is the place where we first played as kids

And me Mam lived and died here, she loved it she did

And this is the place where our folks came to work

Where they struggled in puddles, they hurt in the dirt

And they built us a city. They built us these towns

And they coughed on the cobbles to the deafening sound

Of the steaming machines and the screaming of slaves

They were scheming for greatness, they dreamed to their graves

And they left us a spirit, they left us a vibe

The Mancunian Way to survive and to thrive

And to work and to build, to connect and create and

Greater Manchester’s greatness is keeping it great

And so this is the place now we’ve kids of our own

Some are born here, some drawn here but we all call it home

And they’ve covered the cobbles, but they’ll never defeat

All the dreamers and schemers who still teem through these streets

Because this is a place that has been through some hard times

Oppressions, recessions, depressions and dark times

But we keep fighting back with Greater Manchester spirit

Northern grit, northern wit in Greater Manchester’s lyrics

And there’s hard times again in these streets of our city

But we won’t take defeat and we don’t want your pity

Because this a place where we stand strong together

With a smile on our face, Mancunians Forever

And we’ve got this* as the place where a team with a dream (*Forever Manchester)

Can get funding and something to help with their scheme

Because this is the place that understands your grand plans

We don’t do No Can Do, we just stress Yes We Can!

Forever Manchester’s a charity for people round ‘ere

You can fundraise, donate. You can be a volunteer

You can live local, give local. We can honestly say

We do charity differently, that Mancunian Way

And we fund local kids, and we fund local teams

We support local dreamers to work for their dreams

We support local groups and the great work they do

So can you …help us help… local people like you?

Because this is the place in our hearts, in our homes

Because this is the place that’s a part of our bones

‘Cos Greater Manchester gives us such strength from the fact

That this is the place. We should give something back.

Always remember. Never forget. Forever Manchester.

This has got to be the worst new update and DLC ever. Packed full of bugs, load screen issues, sound issues and a ZOS created exploit that has players being banned. What makes it worse is ZOS was aware of many of the issues from the PTS and still went live anyways. This storage chest problem being one of them.

Glad I read this was going to transfer all my Mule characters storage gear to the new chests. Will wait now.

Agreed, plus the problem with this is that it discourages people from playing on the PTS as they see no point if their bug reports are being ignored the whole time. You just end up with prospective cheats playing the PTS to spot the exploits for early advantage when the update goes live. I stress that this is not the case at the moment, but it will become so if people lose all confidence in the developer's ability to act on PTS reports before pushing updates live.

This DLC sounds like a pretty horrendous update, not that that excuses any exploiting of course. I think I'll continue with a couple of other games for a day or two while ZOS sort things out.

Funny thing. BankManagerRevived addon deposits items in my bank when I open a housing chest. For those who don't know what it means, this addon can deposit specific items automaticaly, and it does this through a housing chests, so, chests are working as a bank extention actually. But why this bug is exists then?

Really LOL? Did you check inside the storage box that the items didnt just go into that, because the addon THINKS its depositing it into your bank? Or does it actually transfer into the bank and not the box?
Why the bug exists? Only the marvelous minds of the zenimax developer that programmed the boxes could answer that.. :D

Yeah, I had checked this. Items are going to my bank, not in the chest.

So you'd appease one group of people, but what about those who spent HOURS creating new Outfits? They would lose all of their work and I doubt most people take the time to write down their outfit armor combinations and colors. Thus, how do you make one group happy without p*ssing off the other? This along with those who created new characters and spent hours leveling them, what about their time? There's a lot more to consider before doing a rollback.

I think they should just restore the accounts of the players reporting a loss - and then give them a free character slot for their trouble. I have to wonder how many people were only doing this because they were told they’d have to either delete a character or pay for a new slot to get level up rewards.

ZOS, please give these people their character and their stuff back and just give them the slot - they’ve been through enough trouble.

Interesting. I wonder why account-bound items are getting flagged to a specific character?

Would placing those items in the bank, withdrawing them with a character you don’t intend to delete, and then placing them in a chest “bind” them to the permanent character?

If so, that would be an easy workaround.

Easier workaround would just be to withdraw all items from the chest onto a different character prior to deleting your extra character. One fewer step, and less risky.

How about the system doesn't delete items in the chest? That's a pretty cool "work around"!!!!!!!!!!!

No, it's clearly the same as this one: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/388883/pts-update-17-bug-reports-for-home-storage#latest
They didn't fix it. Just like they didn't fix bar swap delays and other issues.

Sometimes it feels like they take pts week 1 patch instead of the last final one lol. I mean how else can stuff like this happen? I have no experience in coding etc tho, if someone could explain.

In this case they, clearly, did not, because some of the functionality that wasn't there week one is present, including actually having the hide helmet collectible, instead of it being marked as "not collected," after it was dumped into our collections tab.

No, this was the final iteration, just, you know, all these issues went live.

Yes, logging in another toon AND opening the chests seems to re-bound all items to this toon and then items won't be lost. Note that you have to go to the house with this character and you have to open chests, that's important, otherwise you still can get your items lost.
But you shouldn't take that risk. No one can garantee anything so far. You'd better withdraw all items from chests and then you can delete character with no risks.

Have I posted in this thread? Feels like there is a million of them...on this bug, I mean.

    1. Yesterday, somewhere, Gina Bruno posted that the fix was in the first incremental patch. Whenever that is supposed to be applied, if it hasn't been applied already. This is in one of the bug threads, but I do not recall which one.

So yes, beat ZOS up for not putting the fix in earlier, but they are aware of the issue and a fix does exist.

    2. One of the users testing the bug reported that it does not occur (for them) if a different character goes to the house with the chests before deleting the character you wish to delete. It isn't just logging on or logging off, you have to visit the chest location. But that was just one individual in one of the threads, so the safest route is to just not delete anybody for a time.

It's possible this has been fixed in the current PTS build. Or there may be another factor.

Bait items were three green recipes, a sip of health, and three furnishing items (two purple, one green).

All testing was done with storage chests, not storage coffers, that was an oversight.
    @starkerealm
Only bound items going to be lost. Recipes, potions and furnishings (unless they're from Crown Store) are not bound. That's why these items wasn't lost.

Okay, I'll take another look at it in the morning.

    Day 2

Bait: Oblivion's Edge in each chest and coffer (not counting the levelup coffer). (Deposited from a template.)

Test 1: Create character, Delete: Chest Intact.

Bait update: Template Undaunted Infiltrator, deposited to Tythus. Deposited to bank by "Starke-Test-Delete"

Test 2: Create Character, Deposit Undaunted Infiltrator into Chests, leave house, log out and delete: AND WE HAVE A WINNER! All 14 items are gone. All bound items are toast. Unbound items remain.

Yep, number two was me... Precisely what happened was I deposited items with a template, logged it out, logged in a different template that was already inside the house in question, logged it right back out, and then deleted the depositing character.

Just loading into the house seemed to have marked the chest items as safe, but please don't take my word for it on Live. If you want to fiddle with this do it on PTS where you won't actually be losing anything of yours.

I think the point that most people are trying to make here is that ZOS should not release updates with known bugs, especially if a fix is in the works for the near future. What's occurred here is that they set their release date for the DLC, and decided to stick with it regardless of whatever happened during testing.

Another rushed roll out that proves ZOS has learned nothing from all their previous mistakes.
