Was wondering same. How is that (sparkles) any crazier than flames or glowy blue stuff?
I LOVE the sparkles and gold hoof prints!

For me, it is not.
This is, however, a mount that I would have purchased if the sparkles were not there. Those other crazy ones you refer to were not even a consideration.

Agreed. 3500 crowns for a mount is an absurd price. To put that absurdity into perspective, collectors editions of DLCs typically sell for 4000-5000 crowns and those include the DLC, a mount and at least one other item.
I’d say ZOS is price gouging here but evidently some players feel differently.
I came to make a thread pleading for common mounts (referencing an in-game book http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:A_Call_for_Common_Hair) but then I saw this thread so I posted here.
"The nobles of our fair city have gone mad for ornate and over-styled [mounts]. Have they nothing better to do than to ape the witless [Elaborate Mount Fancier], who is enamored of elaborate [mounts]?" xD
The mount doesn't say it is enchanted or anything so why the sparkles? I mean, it looks nice otherwise but why have the feeling of Elder Scrolls diminished by having sparkly mounts? The rest of the mounts are already a bit over the top but there are attempts to explain why or kinda fit it in. Having a sparkly horse come out of breeding is kinda...odd.

I am not impressed by the legs and hooves in that picture.

What's "diminishing" about sparkles? Or fire? Or whatever that blue stuff is (Oblivion snot ) Or for that matter the metallic critters. This really is a "to each their own" sort of thing. Isn't the sparkly bit to do with the White Tower?

Well, normal horses do not sparkle. If the description was altered to say that it was enchanted to look fancy for a king's daughter it would still be a bit of a "wut" but it would be a "erm ok fair enough" wut.
3500 crowns...and I thought 1800 crowns was pushing it...
