I'm just curious about what kind of mount and which costumes they are talking about. And will max level players get these rewards too? Like, if you have 8/8 or if you have bought slots and have 14/14 max level characters there is no way you would get these rewards.

They said that max characters won't get them, but they will be adding an extra character slot. The outfit -horse and crates you can get them only once per account.

The mount is the standard brown mount that you can buy from the stablemaster. I don't know about the costumes tho.

The mount is the basic brown horse you can currently buy for 10,000 gold. (Apparently this option will be removed when this update hits and you'll only get it through levelling up.)

Not sure about the costumes yet but I assume they'll be similarly basic ones. They're hardly going to give away exclusive or popular crown store items.

What I'm curious about is whether the crown crates and the gold are one-time per account or if you can get them every time you level up. But I haven't had a chance to check that yet.

What about those ppl who already bought 14 slots? Will we get punished or do we have to delete one char with max mage-/fighters-guild and max undaunted, to receive those rewards?

If you already have 14 max lvl chars. these rewards are not really necessary tbh.

As an old player you don't really need this stuff and already know what it is. The crown crates you'll just end up getting nothing so why even bother. If you have a bunch of characters you most likely don't need anything or are you really that just needy and entitled?

As an old player who played ever since beta, yeah I don't really need this stuff but I like to collect costumes, titles and dyes. I'm simply curious which costumes new players gets to choose from. Like, will they get some that already exist that old players had to get from reaching X level/veteran rank, will they get brand new ones that are basic? Or what will they get?

Uh...if an extra slot is added then EVERYONE should have to "buy" ir or not buy it. Otherwise I have to say that would be very unfair.

Wow, that's terrible. Especially since these are very nice rewards, some of which require spending crowns or grinding a lot.

It seems existing chars get routinely shafted in ESO. Like they don't get the skill point from the Morrowind tutorial that all new characters get.

it seems really unfair for those who have leveled up all 14 characters... I've spent money for already 4 extra-slots and now i need do it again. Just because I play a lot Thank you, ZOS

will this new feature be on all systems or just pc? not being able to use add-ons playing on an Xbox one almost makes me want to go back to gaming on a pc, I think it'd be awesome if there was a way to be able to use add-ons on an Xbox, even if it was just the main simple ones its still better than nothing.

The quoted text in first post is from the PTS patch notes for update 17. I highly doubt this will be PC only.

My guess would be that the costumes are the really basic ones, like from the mages guild or armored knight packs. Possibly chef or blacksmith or something similar. I really don't expect any of the "fancier" costumes.

I think it's also safe to assume that the crown crates will rotate with the crown crate seasons.

What about maxed characters who have not yet completed Cadwell's Silver by the time that this update goes live? Will we still receive Soul Shriven motif at the end of Caldwell's Silver, or do we lose out?

It was confirmed that the current patch notes are false, and the Soul Shriven motif will be available from Cadwell's Silver. The lvl40 reward is the Prisoner's Rags costume.

Good thing for new players if they will get it for free, but doesn't add much value to 1500 crowns (in case if we all will actually have to pay for the new slot). Also, so far there is no extra slot available, either for free of for purchase:

Interesting. I'll delete one of my characters and re level it to level 20 three times to get all costumes. Yay.

They said level up rewards like collectibles such as the horse and the crown crates are once per account (possibly all level up rewards), not once for each leveling character. So I doubt leveling 3 will get a reward 3 times (in this time the reward is a choice out of 3 costumes).

I am sure the crates and mount will be once per account only. But for the costumes I don't know and there's only one way to find out.

if I pay for the eso+ membership for a month to get the free crowns they give you and then use crows to buy one of those flame mounts from the crown store and then the following month cancel the plus member ship will I then lose the mount as well?

Once you have bought something form the crown store you cannot lose it.

Personally I live perfectly without ESO+ and the craft bag. All my chars are max level so I am in no need of the +10% XP gain. I will buy a DLC if I find it interesting and worthy, which is why I don't buy the DLCs that are just..... dungeons.

yea besides craft bag and dlc I don't see any other benefits I would get that would justify the price, I'm thinking if I want anything from crown store i can just buy some crowns every now and then to make purchases. Besides the dlc I think the only other thing from store I would be interested in would be one of those flaming mounts. when I first created acct. I was given 400 crowns for free I guess, my question is does anyone know if there are any other ways in the game, besides paying for them, to get free crowns or was that free 400 a one time thing?

The launch version of the game included 30 days of complimentary access; the Tamriel Unlimited relaunch changed it to 500 complimentary crowns as the subscription became optional.

Those crowns are a one-time bonus for new accounts. There is currently no way to earn crowns in-game.

thanks, besides dlc am I right in not seeing anything too important for sale in crown store ? I want to spend crowns I have on that flaming wolf mount but if ill need those crowns at some point in game id rather keep them.
