What would I want to see in tommorow's Patch Notes

We are having Patch Notes being thrown at our faces tommorow. It is well know that with every new patch we see more nerfs. Zenimax is contantly pushing poor balancing state of the game even further against will of community. They basically nerf skills based on their popularity. How about this time Zenimax will do something opposite? What I finally expect Zenimax to write:
"We are aware that our general balancing changes in last 2 years were very bad for the game. Thats why we are going to bring back pre Dark Brotherhood Patch changes applying to class, combat, armor, traits, sustain, poisons, animations and CP changes with certain adjustments. We want all classes to have decent solo play potential in Cyrodill like they used to."

What would that mean? Well, at first we need to rebalance certain sets to make it work, thats for sure. Remove most proc sets, leave but still nerf undaunted proc sets. 2 years ago u couldnt have unlimited sustain, great surviability and high damage at the same time. You had to balance between two or focus on one. The game was way more dynamic and most importantly more skillbased. It basically means that u have more ways to fight or at least avoid zergs. PVE wise it would mean comeback of burst builds and better sustain.

What do u guys think about that?

Yes, I think that bringing back old state would be healthier for the game.

I'm afraid, that we won't see impactful changes. They've made that pretty clear, that combat won't play a big role in this one.
I am looking forward to the synergy and heavy attack changes though.

But in general, dont u feel like the game was so much better back in a day? I know that potential changes are not very likely but still.

There is no black and white for me here. There were things, that used to be better and there are as well things, that are better today.

2017 was not a good year though, the sustain nerfs and many other things made the game much less fun. Zenimax never goes back though, it keeps going.

    lol

Just because players didn't like them doesn't make them "bad" for the game. The tryhards kept demanding for harder content so that's what ZOS did, took away our buffs little by little to make things harder. Nerfed sources of Critical Chance, made abilities cost more, made proc sets unable to crit. None of these changes made the game worse or unplayable, even if they're unwelcome. So I doubt ZOS would openly admit to something they don't view as a mistake. Especially since it seems they're going to continue this streak of doing the opposite of what the playerbase would like.

They even said they entertained the idea of shortening the duration of Heavy Attacks so we could recover resources more quickly, but then decided not to as it would "impact gameplay" too much.

Yes, I think that bringing back old state would be healthier for the game.
Dark Brotherhood implemented the Animation changes that were detrimental to the smoothness of animations and messed a lot of stuff up. Shadows of the Hist implemented the first true OP proc set, Velidreth. One Tamriel revamped sets and ushered in the proc meta. In turn, all proc sets were nerfed which made lots of cool sets very weak for the sake of balancing a broken few (rather than nerfing the few OP sets). Lots of very odd choices by ZOS that all hurt the game.

There has been amazing content in this game. Truly. ESO is a fantastic game. There is no reason why I would bother posting if I didn’t think so.

With the exception of the high quality content being released each patch, stuff like balancing, game performance, etc feels like it is honestly getting worse. ZOS may ignore bugs and Cyro performance but the players don’t. That’s what angers players the most tbh.

I would like to go back to Orsinium/Thieves Guild, which is when I felt (despite obvious flaws/imbalances) the game was healthiest. Never will I be able to understand why ZOS gets in their own way so much.

I dont think u are aware what patch we had roughly 2 years ago. To be fair MagDK at that time was not that OP as u stated, in fact it was far from OP. At least u could reflect Meteors, that was dope.

I didn't play in the glorydays so I have no idea.

I do think that the morrowind sustain changes were too much and need to be rolled back. Not all the way just a little. particularly I want class based sustain to be buffed, keeping the armor sustain changes.

The seventh legion and fury proc sets need a nerf. Heavy armor sets giving a ton of damage really isn't balanced.

The thief stone nerf was too much, the shadow stone nerf was unnecessary and precise needs a little buff.

I just want them to fix shadow image!!
Mag NB is unplayable atm without it, and because of its low popularity and lack of forum outcry, its not getting any attention apparently atm.

They said they would fix it and that was that, never heard from it again
