I am just two Militant Ordinator motifs shy of KNOWING ALL motifs on my main toon, and high paying master writs barely drop, it's a joke. All crafting needs to be updated and jewelery crafting added to BASE game.

ETA June 2019, just look at BGs :)

Did anybody notice if some other factors, especially skillpoints invested, affect drop rates from crafting activities? For example do refining passives affect tempers drop rate from Hirelings and Daylies?

It's all a lie. I have every motif and trait and 95% game achievement etc but mostly get less than 10 writ vouchers

My limited test shows that CP configuration does. I never got dreugh wax until I set perks to be heavy armour only. I'm not saying that is the only thing. Just one I've tested.

It's actually very easy to grasp.

ZOS - like most AAA game companies - keeps statistics about most of what happens in game.

When anything becomes too popular, they nerf it. If it becomes too common (say, because a large following Youtuber said "all should grind XYZ, it's best to make gold / XP"), they reduce the drop rate.

In this case, master writs are rare enough that I get 4-5 a week on my crafters with every trait / motif learned.

However, if you look at writs value over time, they have been tanking down to 500-ish gold per voucher.

500g, over massive numbers, statistically covers both the "easy peasy" 300 vouchers writ that only requires Kajiit style and the 10 vouchers "nasty writ" that requires going to craft it at Imperial City.

What does all of this mean? That vouchers are too cheap and the first action ZOS took to prevent them from going down is to just cut the drop rate.
    That's all of it, really.

Personaly I am doing writs on 1 my main character. All traits, all motifs, working on the summerset ones only now. My master writ drop rate seems to be terrible. Mainly its just tiny writs of 2-7 vouchers. In the meantime my bf is doing writs on his main character also. However he doesnt have researched all traits (missing quite few) and he is waaaay far from having all the motif books. Yet he recieved at least 10 BIG master writs (of 50-180 vouchers) for the past month while I have recieved about two (one around 40 and one around 80). The RNG blows my mind. Especially since I never recieved writ higher than 200 and he has recieved one of 300 already... It feels like the motif knowledge and trait dont even matter.
Magicka sorcerer from start until the end. Always. Through the good times and the bad, even now when its probably saddest PvE dps it has ever been.
Even as an owner of one radiant apex mounts I am against radiant apex mounts and anything thats not obtainable by direct purchase.

Reading several of the posts here, maybe saved me from totally quitting the game. Maybe not. I have one "almost' master crafter, (working on final traits now, some already done), and my Sinusoidal Curve. as Nestor put it, has been fairly elongated. I'd been averaging 1-2 writs, every 2-3 days. I had about 2/3's of my Motif's done, that's all of them, not certain ones. I thought it was pretty bad, seeing the cost, (in writ vouchers), to purchase items that should be available through other means, imo, and the cost in HQ items to craft the writs, was hard enough to deal with.

However, of late, I've gotten NO Master Writs. That's ZERO, for almost 2 weeks now. That's doing every craft, every day, including Jewelry, (which is not @ writ level yet). In the past 2 weeks, I've only gotten 2, both only worth 2 writ vouchers. Crafting is difficult enough as it is, this is wiping out my supplies, for ZERO reward.

I don't know if Nestor's idea of completely stopping for a few weeks, will help or not. At the moment, however, maybe that is the better option vs quitting. Maybe. I just don't know. If I AM at some stupid bottom peak, after never getting more than 3 Master writs, and that 3, only once, and never seeing a writ worth more than 109...and seeing some people are getting writs worth 330+?

Guess I have a decision to make. I've had some other, serious issues in this game, such as the loss of crafting supplies that just, "magically" disappear, and NEVER being able to find any help, anyone that can say, check the game data, and see that I have approx 4.3k, of EACH of my top tier crafting supplies, except for one, which used to be there one day, the next day I was at 79. TOTAL. They keep trying to blame it on me, but I hadn't been PLAYING during that time.

Anyways, I just don't see Zos really caring, tbh. And, being I'm posting this in Aug. when this thread was in Jan.? And, being the case that I have like... 5-6 Reports I've filed on this, asking what is going on, yet no one responds, the weights are heavily on dumping this game.

Why pay to be pissed off daily? I play to take my mind off the RL I'm having to deal with. The most recent, the loss of my Son. Why a game would continue to run a system, that, obviously is causing...what? Consternation, to say the least, among those who all SEEM, and I'm sure ARE, loyal, regular players, is quite beyond me.

I just want to be fairly rewarded, for all the hard work I put in, yet, I'm not. And, from all the posts I read, I'm well below what would be considered, "normal", in several area's. yet, Zos, once again, could care less. They won't even look at all the evidence I've given them. I guess they just trash it.

So, maybe it's time I do the same with their game. It seems that so many have already done just this. My last question is this: why even bother making a game, 1.) if you're really only going to cater to the intense, ADD crowd, Rich crowd, who want everything, and they want it NOW, and will bail as soon as they get bored for a few minutes, OVER 2.) those loyal to their games, who work hard at them, try to help other people, so THEY, too, can enjoy them, who tell others about the game, and, in return, only ask for simple fairness........., in the first place? js
