Actually since IA can Dropp in all 3 Craglorn Trials I'd run the Different Trials and not just AA (gets boring doesnt it?)
you can get weekly rewards for all Trials, so you've a bigger chance to dropp them.

Well imo you just had bad RNG, which this game is known for
There are ppl with over 300 vMA runs and they dont have their staffs, bows ect. so 63 AA runs are still better then 300 vMA runs ^^

They're assuming you're running 4 piece, since that's the norm, in which case, Moondancer and MA are literally identical and IA falls a bit behind on everything except nightblade (I think, not sure where the numbers are now).

The set name is Infallible Mage, but all the pieces are "Item of the Infallible Aether", so everyone just calls it IA.

I have run hundreds of trials in Craglorn since August last year and I have one lightning staff, 2 ice and one resto of IA.

Same for Moondancer.....

Yes droprate isn't great for some weapons - imagine when we only wanted sharpened as well without the transmutation stones.

63 runs is only the tutorial

Yea with item trait changing those people shouldnt really exist anymore. I was one of the people who did 100+ vma runs for 1 single *** trait staff and just gave up. Ended up changing its trait.

However...

no IA destro in 63 AA runs and other trial runs. Thats for me or ANYONE in the group. Thats AA alone 63 runs since farming it for 12x people = 756 chances (remember its a chance in each chest as well etc lol.. so wellllllll into the thousands of chances).

GG my life. Not doing it anymore. Ill stick to my 30 seconds of handing in writs per day that are pre made and logging out. Wait for the next bis to roll around..

I am 100% BIS minus that staff if it isnt obvious lol.

vAA is insane easy so not the worst thing to get a weekly reward for. HOWEVER it literally does not change a thing. 63 runs x 12 people x all the chances you can get it such as chests = thousands of chances and zero as a result.

Id rather not. Better just wait for next bis meta etc to roll around and stay at 100% BIS minus this staff.

Not like working hard should get ya a positive outcome on a game anyways. Silly me.

The drop tables are skewed for the good stuff like these kind of staves. It's why the RNG in this game isn't actually pure RNG.

I agree that it's dumb. People telling you it's RNG and you'll get it eventually doesn't help if you're one of the 1 in 1000000 that is on the wrong side of a loot table taking you 100 runs to get your weapon. It's why games like this need a token system. Transmute stations and crystals solved part of the problem but getting these weapons to drop is just the worst. The amount of correct RNG roles you need to hit to get your weapon is insane. And it's clear that some weapons from certain sets have higher drop rates. You have no idea how may automation inferno staves and bone pirate restoration staves I have gotten as drops...

The IA staves are about as rare as they come, but i've seen quite a few as of recent..

It took me over a year to get my inferno staff (before trait changing) and another 4 months to get the lightning... I feel your pain.
