You're guaranteed to get a blue item or rarer. This is how it works:

2 items will always be consumables
1 item will always be blue or rarer
1 item will be anything BUT apex, but odds are likely it's another consumable
small chance for a 5th bonus item that is purple or rarer

Most people get an apex from the bonus item. I watched a lot of videos of people opening crates and it's usually that 5th item if they get an apex at all. I'm not sure what the rate of getting the bonus item is, but out of the 10 crates I've opened, I've only gotten 1 bonus item.

Anything you get that you already have will net you a 33% return on gems.

I'd like the skin, obviously, but also the Standing Flame. I saw the datamine and while I prefer Standing Wave, it's the same save for red dye on the Standing Flame. Who knows maybe I'll get the Sweetroll so I can trade it in for a bunch of gems.

I want the Arctic Fennec Fox because his crate exploded and burned down his ship and now he's stranded.



Then hopefully the Dusky Fennec Fox is in the December showcase so I can have all of the Fennecs.
But also because he looks a bit like a lemur.





I refuse to get my hopes up for Lavasaurus rex. It's not like I haven't already renamed him and wondered if he poops metamorphic rocks in case I ever have to clean up a big pile of schist...

I don't know anything about crown crates so I'll ask here. Are all of the new items available for crown gems immediately when the new season starts? Or is there a delay, or do some items not go in there at all? I remember some people mentioning exclusive mounts and stuff so I have no clue.

I really like the rebreathers, and since they are in the cheaper sections, if I don't get any I hope I can trade in all the crap I do get for gems and buy them that way.

Hehe I can’t read Russian so I just went by what the pictures had lol. But yes! Only thing that has really caught my eye is the Sentry Cat & the Arctic Fox! Hoping to get a cool mount but won’t be sad if I don’t.

Gems, so that when Dark Shaman finally ends up in a crate, I can just buy it.


(looking at the datamine of things in the crate... outside of some of the furniture, I'm not sure there's anything I'd ever use. There's certainly nothing that would inspire me to buy one of these crates.)

The Radiant Apex items and the Resplendent Sweetroll are not buyable with gems, but everything else is, as soon as the new season starts.

I hope I'll get some good stuff but I'll probably end up getting female stuff like lip tints, costumes, flower hats, etc. and I'll be stuck with them 'cuz we can't turn the unwanted stuff into gems.
