A fresh start on NA

I have done the opposite, OP; I normally play on NA but I have started playing on EU, and the change does not come without its challenges. Not having all the perks of your main account is really frustrating, and it feels as if you are a bit bare and lost. The CP grind is not the worst part, at least for me, because I enjoy the challenge of playing the content without capped CP (I completed vMA at CP230 with blue mismatched gear and suboptimal traits, just to see if I could do it

), it’s the gear grind, and the fact that you don’t have materials and gold to get what you need. What I’d recommend is trying to level provisioning/alchemy right off the bat, so that you have food and potions available (for leveling alchemy, I use scrib jelly and spider eggs, because you can get an abundance of them after a few runs in Darkshade Caverns/Spindlecrutch/Selene’s Web). Also, depending on what character(s) you are playing with, get some clothing materials and ask a crafter to make you an all-around good crafted set (for e.g., I recently got a Julianos set for my magsorc, and it has made such a big difference), and upgrade it as you go along. Also, with the transmute system now in place, make sure to research first the traits that are mostly used, so that if you get a weapon you will be able to change its trait as you see fit. It’s basically like leveling a new character, but without the benefits of your main character/crafter to make you gear, ambrosias, foods, and potions, and also the fact that even though you know the game, you have low CP which makes everything difficult/drawn-out, and also excludes you from certain content (I am at CP298 at the moment and when people tell me I’m too low to do a given run, I get so disheartened and mumble to myself: ‘b-but I know what I’m doing...’

). Good luck with your adventures in a new server, it can be a frustrating experience at times, but it’s also a lot of fun!

switched platform last year, fresh start was ok in the begining, but after a while you will miss former progress.

I made a character on the PTS for fun, but not quite the same as switching over to a real server. Only Morrowind carried over, and ESO+. Anything purchased outside of the crown store should carry over too, but not special codes like the Bristlegut Piglet. The PTS is fun because you get 5500 free crowns and literally everything in the store is 1 crown. I bought Grand Topal Hideaway furnished for 1 crown. XD

I got another copy of the game and started a few new chars with no cp, no ESO+, no crafters, no nuthin'.

It was really fun, and added a lot to the game to see what I can do and to enjoy progressing.
Now I have a place to just try out new alts just for fun.

Thanks. What I miss most is EasyTravel - when so few guild members are online at my playing time porting becomes a chore. Could use another guild or two.

That's what I loved about my EU character, too!

Though now that my EU character has 401 CP and 7-9 traits, that feeling had long since wore off. But it was nice, and it was what kept me going early on.

I too am thinking of the next XP event. I quite fancy the ideal of seeing the game through new eyes. Starting again and knowing my path (exact duplication of my EU main!)

Hoping I can ask forum friends to donate some gold and early gear

I’m sure I’ll be well into the first 100 CP points with the New Life event looming. It’s not much point doing it on my EU characters except for one achievement I’m missing on my main. Might as well use the XP buff for speeding up NA.

I started a new account on PS4 NA even though my old account was PS4 NA.
I did it for more of a challenge. I was wrong. There is no challenge left in the game unless your under 300cp or your new to end game trials.
I now have 3 accounts one is max another is 600cp and the 3rd is 500cp.
I started the second before T1 and the 3rd after.

We really need a vet overland or something like what Craglorn used to be.

Started my first char on the NA server a couple of days ago. (I have 14 maxed chars on EU).

I'm really enjoying it as it's much more of a challenge without the cp and without the ability to craft anything!

Also the general vibe on the NA server appears to be a bit more relaxed and helpful than EU, but that's just first impressions.

I don't play well with others so I play on EU when NA is over crowded with duelers fighting through me and dead townspeople piling up like firewood. I have far fewer resources though since most of my stuff is in NA. Still, it's fine if you don't have high expectations. There is a kind of balancing act one must perform where you know the good places to make resource runs and during off peak times it's all there, and you know how to approach a problem area to your best advantage. That is balanced by not being able to get your other characters to feed you armor or weapons or leave some gold in the bank for you. I find I miss armor sets and a full range of styles the most.

Usually play ps4 EU (and never seem to gave enough time for all the stuff I need to do there) but recently started to play on NA. Not got far but there as an option if want. Is harder without all the usual stuff but thankfully have eso+ which helps.
