Okay all negativity aside, ZOS, how can you look at this addon and think it's not effectively cheating? Also players, how can you not see that when you rely on a tool like this to tell you when to dodge when to attack when to block what ability is being channeled by who and when it'll land before any audio cue comes to you that you're only cheating yourself? If that tool is ever taken out of your hands I bet you'd forget even how to stand how heavily ya'll leaning on it! Skill is developed through challenging yourself, and when you got a HUD telling you when to do everything nothing is challenging your ability to play anymore (only your ability to play as you're told).
To be honest I don't know why add-ons are enabled in PvP zones & duels... since add-ons are enabled via in-game menu... why is it a big problem ? Miats doesnt just destroy snipe, it destroys quite a few different builds. EVERY stam player can snipe from stealth, all of them, not just stealth builds, and some people dont even use nightblades and run more aggressive bw builds, like myself. Once I snipe once, its kill or be killed, or hope I can run faster than them. xD.0 -
misfitmanic✭✭✭I would much prefer they fix the broken PVP audio that has been around since CWC patch. Until then, having some sort of alert that I am being attacked is nice instead of having to wait until my healthbar is instantly melting.1 -

Actually playing a cast time build is the opposite of ability-spamming (i.e. "light/heavy attack+surprise attack repeat until incap combo ad infinitum). If someone is just spamming snipe or dark flare or any cast time ability, they're doing it wrong and probably have a horrible KDR.
The whole point of using a cast time ability is that you circumvent the global cooldown and get to land that cast time ability+another instant cast ability at the same time. These builds are burst/combo oriented, not "spam skills" sustain oriented.
Besides Wrecking Blow, most of these cast time oriented builds also have a mini game called "kite your opponent", this means doing things like kiting around fear trap/mines/volcanic rune, using sprint, snares, roots etc to maintain distance so your cast time abilities simply don't get interrupted.
The skill cap of these builds is miles above your typical "hold block & smash buttons" tank meta build, and higher than most melee "gank builds" as well.3 -

I agree. Crouch stealth should require wearing specialized gear and lying very, very still.

Mag DK? DoTs+Leap=dead new player
Sorc? Curse+Frag proc=dead new player
Magblade? Soul Tether+Assassin's Will=dead new player
...and yes, a Lethal Arrow+Asylum Acid Spray=dead new player
etc

Tbh, if I was a new player I'd be much more pissed at using skills on some unkillable permablock clown who just mitigates/outheals everything despite playing like a potato - you can learn from dying in PvP but you don't really learn from playing against someone with such a cancer build.Edited by DDuke on November 13, 2017 6:10PM1 -
