Doing pledges and Cyrodiil in a wolf pack is a lot of fun but the inability to rez makes it frustrating when you are only 4 and 1 has to come out of WW form to do so. Tanking on a wolf would be great fun too.

Also I am recruiting wolves for battleground packs /w or mail @RAVIOUR for guild invite (EU PC).

WW could use anything to make them more appealing to actually use.

The one wolf I have is for RP reasons, and even then I dislike actually using his monster form.

Please give Werewolves a taunt. Not because I would use it myself, but because then the werewolf tanks I sometimes run into won't lose taunt halfway through the boss fight.

Actually taunt does not make sense for a werewolf. But fear does, which they have. WW tanks really don't need to be a thing.

    why not?

they can debuff the boss, buff the weapon damage of the group, and stand in the pocket and take damage from the boss...

they just can't rez or taunt...

Just making the tormentor set "work" with WW charge would be enough for me. It would be sub-par on top of sub-par for tanking, but it would at least be more consistent and open up the option for WW tank fun runs.

...the biggest nominal issue with that was tormentor+WW+tremorscale in PvP, but with the tweaks to tremorscale I don't think a lot of people would be using that setup.

I agree WW should be able to rez and if they come out of form while rezing it shouldn't break off the rez.

However, I see no logical reason they should have a taunt. They're clearly not built for tanking but intended for dps. It wouldn't make sense to add a taunt for funnzies since they could not tank anything serious.

They can set enemies off balance and increase allies heavy attack damage. Not to mention extra restiances.

They could have pack leader morph do a taunt with pets or turn how into aoe taunt.

Werewolves lost permaform form with 4 grouped wolves this last patch which just makes hunting with a pack in Cyrodiil just too difficult to maintain.

I’m baffled by this decision. There wasn’t much reason to be a werewolf already. Why destroy it even further?

When the tank turns into a WW I just leave.
I don't mind if you are a WW really. But it's nosense. It's like if I talk to my Merchant instead of healing.

Just leave and let the group skin the tank.

Fun fact for you: Going werewolf is a DPS loss no matter your race/class/gear. People use it in PvP because it is great burst, or because they're already playing a sub-par Stamplar and couldn't give a skeevers arse, that is it.

First, a disclaimer: This is my opinion and its probably full of bias and probable wrong points.

IMO WW needs a lot of things to be on par with Vampire:

They need the ability to use a second bar, without any weapon skills, class skills and the undaunted taunt would suffice.

Fixing the recovery on heavy attacks, its horrendously low.

    The ability to ressurrect, obviously.

They also need to be a toggle outside of the ultimate system and without a timer, allowing werewolves to have their own berserker or pack leader active ultimate (like a brutal swipe for berserker and a buffing howl for leader, move the decision to be berserker or leader to the WW quest).

They need to have the passives affecting them on human form to a lesser degree(eg: Savage strength also giving 2%/3% more weapon damage in human form) and the same for the poison and FG (10% extra damage taken from these in human form).

Passives that alter transformation timer should be changed to someting else, like for example:

Call of the Pack I: Increases your damage done by 1% for every Werewolf Berserker on your party, counting you, up to a maximum of 5%. This only counts for transformed group members.

Call of the pack II: Increases your damage done by 1% for every Werewolf Berserker on your party, counting you, up to a maximum of 5%.
Also reduces your damage taken by 1% for every Pack Leader on your party, counting you, up to a maximum of 5%.This only counts for transformed group members.

Obviously, some aspects of WW would need nerfs after all that: +9k resistances should be changed to +1k at most, bursty skills like the Howl should have their damage reduced. All WW skills should be rebalanced in cost/damage to be similiar to weapon skills, they are all too expensive now.

EDIT: Adding here that after comparing "Pounce" to "Critical Charge" (pounce 4050 base cost and Critical 3780), and "Infectious Claws" with "Cleave" (both at the same base cost: 3240), maybe its not the problem that WW skills are too costly, but that they dont have any resource management skills to help, AND their heavy attack is bugged (giving a very low return even with Pursuit passive).
Source of base cost numbers: UESP.

And my general opinion on the matter:

Don't get me wrong, WW is not weak when built right, but its so onedimensional, its a bursty tank on PvP, there are no WW in PvE for example. Also, WW is very bland, you lose your identity completely when you change, your class barely matters, you lose your ultimate, you cant regain it back, things like this are what lead people away from WW, its not that its weak, its just, meh, kinda boring.

    My opinion:

First, allow werewolves the ability to generate ultimate during transformation.

Second, rework the two werewolf ultimates as follows:

    Pack Leader
While in werewolf form, cast ultimate for 25 points to taunt a single enemy (or AoE preferably).

    Beserker
While in werewolf form, cast ultimate for 25 points to cleanse/purge up to X amount of debuffs.

    OR

While in werewolf form, cast ultimate for 25 points to cast Minor Beserk for X seconds.

This will encourage players to use their ultimate during transformation, not make bloodspawn completely useless during transformation, and give people something they want.

Third, set a cap on ultimate gained during transformation to HALF the total cost of transformation. This will prevent players from just going back into werewolf form.

Let me know what you think.

@jaschacasadiob16_ESO Never had a player leave when I've done it. Me and my wife que and just wolf the vet dungeons all the time without tanks. It's fun and it works.

Alone usually I tank normally until the group starts to fumble. If everyone dies and I can't rez I just go wolf and finish the boss. Werewolf is a great build for solo content. Timer is the only set back by yourself. But with the right player and skills you can still stay in form. Done vMA 6 times like this, one morph.

Werewolf takes tons of time to learn and play. Is it the best? No. But it is viable. It shines in the hands of really good Pvpers.

Well @Daus me and my wife did initially due to our werewolf obsession. After we made a guild for werewolf bites and have kept building our characters patch to patch trying different sets.

Right now we have them in a good place. Have done all Vet dungeons just fine and do weekly PvP with about 7-12 other werewolves. Never felt weak or terrible. I average a duel win rate of about 75% against all classes except Night blades due to the poisons and burst.

They are viable if you keep at it.
