I don't know about all of you but if I didn't already have 14 character slots then I would buy them now! I have 12 max level characters and 2 mules, and even the mules are going to be geared up to use the dungeon finder this event!

Dunno. There is that one event where you get boxes for completing I certain quests and the quest rewards were motifs (and hard to get crafting items and others stuff). I was (conservatively) getting 20+ motifs a day.

I saw that as an event designed to lower the complaint levels of things being locked behind a paywall.

I would not be surprised in the least if this event gave people lower on the earnings ladder quite a bit of free stuff. It certainly made me feel (and even post) that ZoS was making an effort to make money but still give everyone a shot at some of the good stuff.

It is a totally understandable worry, but it seems like there is this event to farm for for in-game collectables and a separate sweepstake for players in some countries, it just happens that running a random dungeon (once per day) gives you a chance in both events. Subsequent random dungeons on multiple characters don't enter you in the sweepstake, but they give a chance for random boxes.. rng permitting.

oh my goodness. only like.. 3 of my characters are what I would concider dungeon ready. the rest are... experimental in some way. I have a feeling for a lot of other people its even worse. oh dear.. do I do this on secondary account as well? head. explodes. all I can say is... running dungeons during this promo is going to be iiiinteresting.

P.S. I wonder what happens if you get a reward you already have unlocked on your account?

What dungeons are involved? I can duo most older vet dungeons pretty quickly, and solo pretty much all of them on normal.

If you start adding in the harder DLC dungeons, yeah, going to be fun.

The easiest way to do this would be to premake a 4 man group and choose the random dungeon finder. Or make a healer/dps or tank/dps 2 man group. Then disband the group, change characters, and reform the group to do another random. Rinse and repeat.

Maybe, but ZoS has made some events off the scale for the rewards. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see that here.

random ones :P which kinda almost makes me glad that half my alts are well under lvl 45, since that excludes dlc and version II dungeons. then again, when I was leveling my templar, even after she hit 45, I have mostly seen under 45 dungeons in queue. (Arx Corinium. bane of my existence. not that its hard its that I kept getting it along with groups of people who stood in that green circle of crap, continuously healing the boss to full.)

but seriously though. during anniversary event when we were getting those daily reward boxes with motifs.. motifs can be resold on guild traders at least, if you got duplicates. what will happen if your random mysterious reward box contains crown store reward you already have? can't exactly trade crown store stuff. will we get crown gems instead? something else? inquiring minds want to know!

Wow! I have 5 Vet Chars, one of each class. And I will not even have time to play each one of them every day. I wonder ...maybe envy (?)... those who have that much time on their hands to run that many dungeons a day.

I also wonder what ZOS will do to counter those guys who, being under self imposed pressure to finish more than ten dungeons a night, will probably kick/harrass/bully those poor players who just want to play normally...

Finally, as @Rouven said before, with the recent changes to drop rates in general and the abysmal drop experience during the witches festival, I do not hold my breath.

It might sound to harsh, but I do more and more get more the impression that ZOS is confusing a rewarding game experience with a grind fest that can only be countered by going to the crown store.

most random dungeons on normal take 15-20 minutes, even with lower level groups. speaking from experience of just leveling via random dungeons during double xp even. if you queue as a tank or healer - the pop is just about instant. mystery box specifically says vet OR normal. its a lot of hours still depending on how many alts you have and for me for the duration of event - it will eat 100 % of my available gametime, but... its not as horrifyingly time consuming as it sounds at first if you do normal rather then vet.

Well... looks like this event is OUT for me, considering I'm a solo quester who has never done a group dungeon before... and I really don't want to be 'that guy' who walks into a completely foreign area and has no clue what to do. Especially considering it's a 'RANDOM' dungeon, at least being able to plan ahead of time what dungeon I was going to run I could at least review YouTube to prepare. *sigh*

Sweepstakes is on account, the in game rewards is one each day for each character running an random dungeon.

Well that's just great. What the hell? WHY? There's no reason why players from other countries couldn't have physical stuff shipped to them. This makes no sense at all!
And even bigger nonsense is preventing people from having a chance of winning INGAME prices.

I've seen this crap done on numerous occasions, and let me tell you something: punishing people for not living in the "correct" country is almost insultive.
