Guys you have forgotten one thing, trans system works as intended, it wasn't supposed to be dropping tons of those crystals because if it would IT WOULD DESTROY ECONOMY.

Now you ask how would it destroy the economy if it would drop more than now?

    Good question lads:

You wouldn't buy insanely overpriced sets like necropotence, spriggan (and so on...) anymore, why would I if I would drop a no good prosperous gloves and did 3-5 dungeons vet HM, some pvp on 3 toons and could change a trait just like that.

This trans feature was meant to be used on pieces that are harder to get because of RnG Gods not being on your side so now even though you have Velidreth Helmet in training trait after a few days you will be able to change it into a good Divine/Infused.

We cannot allow to make all gear getting perfect traits with little to no effort, unless you wanna earn gold only through thievery, motif farming and jewelry farming than it is fine...

Twenty vet dungeons including 18 pledges aaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnddddddd... still nothing... at least give me one per dungeon you stingy git of a system :/

In this case, something is bugged for you. I did about 10 vet pledges the past two days, and for every one I got a purple geode from Maj/Glirion/Urgarlag, when handing in the pledge, that contained in my case 2-3 crystals each.
    Kind regards,

I just play the game and focus on the fun I'm having. If I get cool stuff while doing it, bonus!

I hate games that rush through XP/ Skills/ and rewards. Completely takes away from my journey.

I'm already level 50 after two weeks and I'm feeling completely saddened by this as I have only finished the first 2-3 zones :(

Slow it all down, I want to get off this speeding train!!

This, looks like PvP is the best way to farm them, just joining an zerg and its easy to get 20K AP.
However PvP has to wait until after the event.

Doing normal trials is by far the best/fastest way. You get a weekly coffer with 5 crystals for each trial you complete. Doing all normal trials will give you 30 crystals/week on 1 character. Now do this on multiple characters and you´ll have enough crystals to retrait very fast.

Geez, people wanted some kind of token system and we got one in the shape of transmutation crystals. like how whiny and how ungrateful do people get? you are not meant to be able to change all the traits within a short time, it is meant to be a longer process. yes you should still farm armor and weps but i understand obtaining weapons for hard to get gear like vo and war machine in right traits is pain.

if you need gear from a dungeon, keep farming it on vet and killing the final boss. kill 2 birds with one stone

If you only need 100K AP to get 50 crystals in an month this is easy, however it might have been leaderboard on dead campaign.
    Weekly trials is also easy,
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

The transmutation system is exactly what I needed. I am not too keen on running some vet dungeons like Bloodroot to get BiS traits on monster helms. With transmutation I only needed to run that dungeon once to get the helm and then just do far easier content to build up crystals to transmute it to a better trait.

Exactly that!! Come on, it's not so hard, yesterday we've run with guildmates the daily random normal one, it was Darkshade Caverns, we've completed it in 15 minutes and that's because we're waiting for the skull to regenerate on the next boss and I've got my first crystal.

I could have done the daily pledges also or some pvp to get more, it can be done and in no time I can finally retrait this well-fitted Veli shoulders I am wearing.
In my book that's better than running pledges and opening chests hoping for the Veli divines shoulders to drop.

What do you mean by "by far"? It takes 15 minutes to complete normal trial on average to get 5 crystals and it's weekly, not daily. In PVP you have to spend like 5 minutes daily per character to get guaranteed 4 and a chance to get 25. I actually averaged at 10+ (mostly getting 5 with occasional 10 or even 20). And at the end of 7 day campaign you'll get 10 additional crystals per character. In two hours you can do it on all your characters, getting guaranteed 50+ and a chance to even cap the allowed amount. So for pure crystal grinding purposes a quick PVP raid is better.

True, with trials you'll also get gear/weapons/motifs, so it wins as a general method to grind (you might actually finally get the proper trait drop you were collecting crystals to transmute into).

Seems ok - yes I thought I would grind them to change the 20 trial weapons and monster shoulders I never get the right trait for. I'll just have to play the game as normal while I work for better drops. The stones will drop but I'll have to be picky what to retrait since it will take time to accumulate enough stones.

I'm just happy they finally gave us the option and I rather see it "poorly" implemented than just the "TBA".

Droprate, max cap and ability to trade stones might change over time.

Why do people keep complaining about it? Just be happy about what you get! It's a hundret times better than this grind sensation that we had before. Hundred of runs of vMA or other dungeons to get sharpened weapons back in the day. Awful, boring. Now you can see a light at the tunnel and you don't have to run the same dungeon over and over again.

But people will always find something to complain about.

I'm happy with it as it is. I have two items to transmog. That will take me about a week, at my current collection rate. Then they'll gather dust until I want to try out a new set. In the long term chances are that I'll always have more stones than I need.

Chances are that your general playing will already get you some of those. So even if you don't farm them, you're quite likely to eventually sit at the cap in any case.

I highly agree with the OP. They really need to take the RNG out of this. Make things fair and consistent.

Normal Pledges should give you 1
Vet Pledges should give you 3
Vet HM Pledges should give you 5

Normal Trials should give you 7
Vet Trials should give you 10
Vet HM Trials should give you 15

I mean, if I ony have a "chance" of getting 1-10 or whatever crystals from the geode, and I know my RNG is super bad so I'm screwed to pretty much always get 1; 2 if I'm actually lucky enough. Then I might as well just do the pledges by myself on normal to get that one dungeon. Theirs no point in doing them on vet and therefore nothing changes.

Far too many characters to list any more.

It wouldn't change the motif market, nor the rare materials market, nor the recipe/plans market, nor the furnishing market, nor the equipment jewelry market, etc.

So in essence, it would actually have SOME but LITTLE impact on the market. The market would change, but adapt quickly.

Thats the problem with your mindset and everyone else who feels the need to *** about this.

It was never something you "bother with". It was never intended to be a stand alone system to farm for optimising gear. It was always only a supplement to the activities you were already doing to begin with so that those who have long streaks of undesired drops can have a measurable end goal that doesnt feel hopeless. Its a system that alleviates poor rng for those already participating in content that drops the gear they would ever consider to retrait to begin with.

This is not a currency system for some other form of progression or so that you can retrait all that junk youve been hoarding since transmuation crystals were announced,in your bag in 1 week.

Sorry but i will say this with as much respect as possible. You dont have a stake in the discussion as it seems you have a complete misunderstanding of the intention of the system and for whom it was implemented for.

Nothing in regards to crafting or solo play necessitates the need for such optimized gear in the form of retraiting. Wether or not you feel that is relevant doesnt matter, its the simple truth of it. You can play how you want, it has nothing to do with criteria for being am "eso player". Player power in the form of best in slot gear is not just some self placed badge of honor or achievement, it is a very real very measurable gauge of player progression to alleviate the difficulty in pinnacle of end game challenges. Even the most demanding solo challenge in the game, veteran maelstrom arena, does not really ask much from players in the form of optimised gear at this point in the game.

You are talking in circles when you say you want to retrait gear you have crafted and feel entitled to that option. Any actual dedicated crafter would easily have the necessary resources to simply recraft said gear in your desired trait. Frankly speaking, using transmutation crystals on CRAFTED gear is an offensively gross waste of the currency, and no player who is in a position to actually benefit from perfect trait gear would be foolish enough to waste the crystals in such a way.

The currency is not for you as long as you insist on playing within your chosen bubble in the game. And there is 100 percent absolutely nothing wrong with that fact. When you do decide to participate in end game group activities, be grateful that you have a nice new system in place to help you out in getting that ideal drop that soo many of us over the last few years have not had the same opportunity of.

Now excuse me while i go queue up for COA for the 300th time.
