Thus, I really dislike some other games with "bikini armor" - if its supposed to protect, it should look tha part, since form follows function.
And I really would love if ESO took that into accout in the matter of costumes:
- either split the costumes into "combat costumes" and "civilian costumes" and then have all civilian costumes unequip automatically when taking damage, just like disguises...
- or assign a "armor limit" to costumes, say, these dunmer robes only allow armor value up to "light" and will reduce heavier armor to that damage resistance valie when worn, while that bosmer leather almost-bikini will allow no armor whatsoever and reduce your stats to zero while active, yet that nord hero costume allows the full value of your armor to be in effect...
That being said, I wish ESO would dare a bit more where applicable! Much like games of thrones, where it makes sense for the story, I would want them to take a step or two further. Bare breasts on females. Underwear bulges on males. Perhaps even dangly bits on naked nords and such. Naughty themes that are not just implied between the lines. Stuff like that...
