Clever alchemist change requires you to be in combat for it to proc what!!

Swapping your gear out while stealthed isn’t a “cheat” or a “hack”

This is something that anyone can do now if they’re fast enough. That’s a problem, so they’re fixing it. It’s not a hack, and it has absolutely nothing to do with Miat’s addon.. dressing room is more relevant lol.

You see, I'm not just talking about Miat's. I'm talking about addons in general.

I'm tackling the root cause here and a lot of people in this thread are saying "Ha! In your face, ganker!".
Those people (and a whole lot of others) are missing the point. Let's trace back to the initial issue on why CA is nerfed. The fact that someone can pre-buff themselves with CA and then within 0.5 seconds to seamlessly swap with another set is due to....(Imma let you guess it)........ YES that's right! ADDONS like Wykydd Outfitter and the likes. Since ADDONS are the ones enabling the player to do that. ZoS, again; SHOULD and MUST limit API or disable ADDONS in PvP or in certain game modes.

Changing the mechanics in CA is not even remotely a solution to the underlying issue and cries from players who complain about CA. That's an idiotic and downright dumb move by the devs.
ZoS, you are one lazy and incompetent games studio. Hats off to you for that.

You have an good point CA is not the problem, however the API to change gear or skill layout is probably so simple its hard to restrict without killing off all addons in pvp, you could probably do it with an keyboard macro even.
Solutions would be to 1) changing gear breaks stealth, it might even have an animation
As said I only ran into this in PvE sometimes then tanks switch roles.
2) drinking an potion put you in combat for 15 seconds.
3) have CA effect only work if CA is equipped, this is most logical but might be hard to implement however its lots of talk of backbar effects then you swap weapon.

I really like your suggested solutions especially number 1, they're a million times better than what the devs are planning to do with CA. Solution number 3 might not be feasible enough as it is too punishing and would wipe unique playstyles off the board.
That said, why can't ZoS find someone who's as sensible as you are? Insightful for you.

But alas, I really hope they would just disable addons in PvP so every player from PvE and PvP would not be implicated by ZoS nerfing things that's caused by 3rd party entities which in this case is addons.

According to the patch notes today clever alchemist is still getting nerfed this is BS

Can someone recommend to me an alternative to clever alchemist for bow gankblade? I really enjoy ganking in PvP even if I get destroyed all the time as my stamblade. This change may unfortunately drive me away from the game. Thank you

This set was designed from the beginning for ganking. Now it is useless for the primary intended purpose.

I know. and Im sad about it. I never played a nb myself, But I used it on my stamDk a lot.(yes I play medium armor, I have balls) This is a problem with add-ons, not the gear itself.
