Maybe a harvesting buff for crafter to increase node pickups like treasure hunter in the cp tree for an hour . Players would have to choose one or two max of these buffs to be applied by the Bard . Install a tipping tray in a window to tip Bards for their inspiring songs when player accepts the buffs in a window .

Pure support class.
A little bit healer, a little bit rogue. Chants and charms that buff (courage, inspiration, low visibility, expedition) and debuff (silence, maim, slow), basic background heals. Not hard to imagine.

As a 99% solo friendly, very little grouping type game - ESO doesn't really work around a support only class.
Love the links. Im a sure an ESO Bard could also do some DPS or Tank

Battle bard for dps.
In TES lore, bards are also experienced swordsmen, and are also medium and/or heavy armor: different chants and charms for tank (debilitation for example).
edit to add:
In typical ESO PAYW style, nothing is locked in on any class. Several classes are archetypal role based classes, but we have the freedom to build them beyond the archetype. The same would be true for Bard... why wouldn't it be?

I would so play that. Bards are a big part of ESO and I think it would be nice to have a light hearted class after the necro
