It isn't exclusive to questing, it also happens when you encounter mere mobs that are meant to belong to such an invading Alliance. If, for instance, I'm playing an AD character, (especially one of high ranking in the Dominion Army), and I want to go Skyshard-hunting in Glenumbra, the hostile Aldmeri NPCs in Silumm, (picked purely as an example - there's a Skyshard in it, as well as ideally friendly units), will still attack. [EDIT]: Please note that this isn't a genuine complaint of mine - I find it really quite funny, and I'm only being silly. I apologise if it wasn't clear, or if my initial post seemed to be too serious. If you played through the main story that is explained and if you play in the unchronolohically correct way that is on you
Shouldn’t they be non-hostile, like mobs usually become if you befriend them? They helped fight Molag Bal and there’s even a group of them in the hollow city preparing to return to Valenwood. Yet whenever I travel through their little section, they still try to kick my ass from here to kingdom come.

If nothing else, it'd sure be awkward to explain to Queen Ayrenn that the Aldmeri Dominion invasion of Glenumbra failed because a high-ranking AD official slaughtered the entire force...
Because... help snakes instead.
There's a lot of quests that are fun to break immersion-wise if you play as a werewolf

The same goes for all such quests, in each Alliance zone, (i.e., in Glenumbra, the AD has invaded; in Auridon, the EP is doing the same). It feels really silly having to kill such a substantial number of soldiers with whom you fight for the same Alliance, simply because you're not on virtual soil that is owned by said Alliance...
