There isn't even new achievements for witches festival, and if new life festival is like this as well I have lost faith for interesting events in this mmo. the only new additions are two reskinned masks and some furnishings you can already get if you have last years achievements. what would you like to suggest for the improvements of events?

what Id like see done for the witches festival next year:
Pvp should be involved, keeps should be decorated with spooky decorations and pvpers should be rewarded with holloween items when they capture a keep
Treat or treating mechanic: give us goodie bags for visiting peoples houses in various major cities per zone that can include new furnishings and maybe mount upgrade etc.
New dyes: I'm looking at you crown exclusive orange dye
New achievements. come on it gives some of us something to do atleast and other mmos add atleast one achievement every year so we can do
quest like in new life that are optional and can reward a giant plunder skull

Also for the love of the divines please decorate vulkhal guard, davons watch, and daggerfall, vivec, and all the capital cities with spooky furnishings so it can feel like witches festival. one of my favorite things about mmo events is you know that there is an event going on. elden root can be transformed to look like a degrading tree with mists around it. mournhold would look spooky with mists around it as dunmer architecture gives off that vibe

and during new life festival have cryomancers manipulate the weather to make it snow in capital cities

whats your opinion on people who achievement hunt? Lets say someone joins the game in two to three months. In about 6-8 months they get all the achievements possible expect the special time of the year ones. Should they be able to get the special year time ones?

Or should that just be like a 'if youre there then you get the chieves and if youre not you dont.'

just like any other mmos, they can wait till next year. the achievements don't go away forever and can be done the following year just like the other holiday achievements

so you just want there to be more achievements each iteration? im just trying to understand perhaps why they went with not adding new achievements each time. i suppose over time they would just build up to an ungodly amount of achievements for probably the same thing.

i agree with you though its pretty lame rolling out the same event each year. At least they added new items but they are to the crown store. maybe add new items to the event thats like the crownstore items that you can get without spending money. but isnt that the case with the runeboxes? idk all the items that will be in this btw. just speculating.

No more new achievements. They are fine. The same goes for the other events like the New Year Festival.

I have 14 toons to complete them.

Achievements should repeat every year, but there should be new things to earn. Dyes, hats, masks, that kind of thing, so there's a reason to do the festivals again.

Some decorations would be awesome, but possibly not technically feasible without a ton of work.

I would love if they make the drops similiar to the anniversary event giving useful stuff for everyone on top of the halloween related items.

Agree that we need new things to earn, especially if we got all the achievements last time round. I am still selling Hollowjack Motifs from last year and don't need more of the same.

At least all of the motifs and recipes are now stackable, inventory management with last years event was a nightmare (no Halloween joke intended).

They have new masks. Honestly, I thought it was just going to be all the same stuff so I give them props for the new masks.

Now I'm wishing I would have kept those masks I had left and not sold them last month with all the recipes and motifs... At least I did very well with the recipes and motifs. I could have been mint selling last years masks during this years event though.
I am currently worried for the future of ESO. Population seems like it is in free fall and the cancellation of the North America in-person gathering feels very much like pulling the plug. Kudos on fixing the in-game economy though. Clearly whatever gold shenanigans were happening the last couple years are fixed.

I'm actually glad they don't add more achievements and more to do for the holidays. They're special with being specific time of year events with enough to do during them on multiple characters already.

Having more to do just becomes tedious and daunting to new players.

I, for one, will be going back to certain repeatable quests and event stuff just for fun. I particularly like the new life festival cannonball dives into the water and the shivering mechanic.

you dont want nore to do? 2 reskinned masks isn't really more to do... new players will go through what everyone had to and it is enough time to get achievements on one characters

I don't expect them to add new achievements--when the festival launched last year, they made it clear that it'll be the same each year, so those who missed it would get to do the same thing again the next year. I don't know why people suddenly expect it to be different each year.

Nor would I want them to add new achievements. Last year's festival was hectic, because I was so focused on completing it on my primary characters. This year's will be much more relaxed. I'll feel free to spend more time on alts, using the double XP to level new characters, etc. You know, enjoy the festival for what it is instead of some maddening achievement hunt on my primary characters.

(That said, I would like an achievement for learning all the festival provisioning recipes. Mostly so it'll be easier to see which alt is missing which ones.)

Also, the feedback period for the festival was the HotR PTS cycle. The festival will start before Clockwork goes live. If you wanted to complain about the lack of new achievements, you're a few months too late and should've paid more attention when this year's festival was enabled for testing on the PTS a while back.

There isn't much to test except two reskinned masks tho

You have to admit though Code, the dolmen part was really fun. I had a ton of fun hitting up all the dolmens last year.

I think you should be able to complete last years achievements + new ones to keep in current/interesting.

Additionally try buying luxury furnishings from months ago?

Or buying the gold plans bought with writ vouchers to complete furnishing plans?
