I've never run anything 40 times to try and get what I wanted.

By that point, as already mentioned, you've probably already gotten the gear you want. If the purpose of this system is to soften the grind, then that's exactly what it should do, not add another.

Everyone deserves the ability to do this or they won't bother and will lose interest in the game.

And pvping for any pve reward can just go to hell.

Currently on PTS, 40 crystals are required to retrait an item, with only 1 crystal being rewarded for the completion of any vet content. This means that in order to retrait a single item, you must first run a vet dungeon, arena or trial 40 times in order to obtain enough crystals. In most cases, this will probably mean running vet spindle because that's the shortest. 40 times. Per item.
Gear grinding is has already been bad enough for such a long time.... now that we can re-trait items it would be nice if we could utilize this system more than 1-2 times per patch.

Not everyone should get BiS traits by just doing a dungeon or two. It should require effort and only be used on special things.

You are what is wrong with the entire mmo genre, and actually what is wrong with the world also. We could compare this to evil people in history but you can fill in the blank. The only reason you don't want it "attainable" is so you can hold it over someone else.

How is it elitist to work for something rather than being handed everything along with a trophy for participating?
This entitlement has gone way too far.

Because it's not work, you're just getting played by a system that exploits your addiction to gambling. Work means achieving something. Getting a slightly better minmaxed item in an MMO is not an achievement, it's worthless.
Do you get it from any vet dungeon or just the vet pledges?disintegr8 wrote: »Has it been confirmed that you can only get 1 for each event you complete, or can you actually get more?

ZoS hasn't said anything yet, if that's what you mean. However current pts testers have only been receiving 1 crystal. So in terms of the way it's currently working, you can pretty much consider it confirmed.

If it's worthless they why whine about it?

Do you pay to go to your job or do they pay you?
You pay to play this game, "Play", and do so because you find it "fun" and you somehow expect to "work" for anything in return? That's like paying to work to be paid less than you paid your boss.
And actually, you weren't talking about yourself not getting it. You know you want it and will get it because you'll pound your head enough to do so, but you said "not everybody should get BiS traits..." which means you are concerned about others getting what YOU have.
You're the very definition of "elitist".
Edit:
And yes, we're entitled to fun. We pay for fun and expect fun. We may all have differing ideas of fun, but that's where difficulty settings can come in or artificially limiting yourself comes in.
You want a hard time to get those crystals then go do a vet dungeon without armor. Make it harder on yourself. Or go do it with a PUG since you likely avoid those too.
Set your own challenge level, and don't force your own masochism on the rest of us or it stops being called masochism and starts being called torture.
