DK suffered 6 months of Zos nerfing the wrong things until they finally realized their dynamic ulti implementation + battle roar was the problem. Most of the other nerfs still remain, and they've never been the same since.

DKs have been nerfed so bad and so frequently I have conditioned myself to scan through the patch notes with the thought "how bad did my dk get hit this time" rather than any sense of hope.

DKs saw massive nerfs in the beginning of them game but still there is not any other class that has been as nerfed as NB

this is so true and so sad :C even recently heroic standard lost its major protection (right as warden got its of course) though I notice them doing this with most of their "fixes"

they try to fix everything by changing everything around the broken mechanic rather then the broken mechanic itself (see blocking -_-)

In all seriousness, even though I haven't played since launch, it seems that DKs are relatively much weaker than they initially were but only cus they were godmode at one point. Truth is tho, everyone has been nerfed in some ways and buffed in others. I think the devs have done a great job balancing the classes at this point.

I can say however that the most buffed class, without a doubt, is stam sorc which went from being literally irrelevant to very unique and powerful.

If you want to look at purely how far something has fallen, nothing else has ever been as OP as permault DK, so while being nerfed down from that was largely justified, it's still the "most nerfed," imo.

I think you can close this thread.. nobody is objectiv here or just few guys know all changes since beta...

Most nerfed classes are Dks and Templar since beta. in relation of hard changes templar is a bit more influenced..

Who think, that a class, where just increased the costs of some skills or something like that was hitted hard from nerfhammer, is just wrong. You should read all patch notes and give points for changes since beta. Hard change like losing stun/complete rework 3 points and soft change like increased cost 1 point. You will see what i mean..

I'd say Templar because I feel it's the class that has been consistantly changed (in a nerfed) way by game-wide mechanics (and intentionally) - most Templar buffs, unlike other classes, have been 'incidental' from game-wide changes that also buffed all classes at the same time - or skill complete changes, so you cant take them as actual nerfs.

While I do agree DK have had -more- nerfs, I feel overall they've been more like negative tweaks than heavy handed nerfs.

While I do agree NB have had plenty, the reality is they were buffed like crazy early on also, so as OP states since the very start, what has been an overall trend, I feel they don't even come close to qualifying.

- The Major/Minor overhaul
- The PvP wide heal nerf (when back then Templars were by far mostly used as healers, still are but not as much) (I'm not saying that change was bad, it was needed in PvP, but for a class that has half its skills based around healing, thats a huge hit)
- The 'house' update (LOL)
- post 1.6

As a long time NB main (launch - Orsinium), I'm struggling to understand how NB got any votes. NB has probably seen far more buffs in its time than nerfs at this point.

I just picked DK and templar 'cause that's the first 2 classes I thought of while making it, I don't intend to represent the actual game balance, only to showcase an issue with the poll.

Using the following graph, we would say that DK got nerfed more, since the gap between DKs and templars is not as wide on the "today" mark.

So they should get buffed more, right?

I could also have made a graph starting low, raising due to buffs to extreme levels then back to a more "in-line" level, in which case someone would argue that they had "the huge biggest monstaaaaa nerf evaaaaa", while ignoring the buff part. For short: pay attention to the current class balance.

Hard to say since each of the original classes currently do well more than 10x the smashe the Sid at launch. Maybe closer to 20x

I remember of a video, 1 guys tanked nearly 30 guys over 2min and killed some.. I know another video where a DK Emp used his ult every 2-3 seconds and killed an army...

DK and it isn't even close. DKs were admittedly too strong at launch, but they've taken nerfs (both direct and indirect) like I've never before seen in a game.

I'm not saying that Templar is in a bad state right now. Magicka sucks a bit in PvE at the moment, but over all the class has many good uses. But given how straight up broken Templar has been multiple times I think it has been nerfed the hardest over all. I mean think back to homestead, when the finisher was criting for 90k and was your spamable from 50% down or how Templar was the only the only choice for a proper healer from release until Morrowind.

Same, I prefer every class gets buffed to be in-line with other classes. I never understand why take away tools, when older tools can be improved on.

Also a meta where everyone is powerful makes for a really good time. PvP wise

I honestly can't tell of templar or nightblade got nerfed more. Dk are list toppers purely because of how incomprehensibly broken they were in cyro for a while, even if they were in a decent place now the difference is staggering.

When that nerf happened and I stopped getting 80k RO tics I turned off my floaty numbers. It was just too sad of a reminder of what once was.

I only play a Stam DK but just from watching videos it looks MagickaDk's have been hit the worst from launch to now. Templars aren't far behind.

Really every class has hit it's highs and lows, but I feel Sorcs have had the most severe of changes.

Specifically Magicka DK but recently it has been buffed and now they have a lot of tailored sets to choose from. It's a very good class overall now.

Magicka Nightblade are suffering the most at the moment. Not for the first time. You can get a pretty good PvP DD build together that has exceptional movement and burst but that's about it and they obviously still ain't as effective as a Sorc. They are no longer rivals to Templar or even the new Warden for Healing or rivals to DK or Warden for tanking, the Sap Tank is completely dead. I do wonder how the original developers of the Siphoning skills feel about what's happened to that whole skill tree. Makes me feel sad.
