As most everyone knows, there is an "IC Event" going on and it would be nice if those who wanted to participate could access it without getting "ganked" numerous times by anywhere from one player all the way up to a raid (yes, there was about a raid at my faction's gate yesterday). I understand that it's not "off limits" and it is pvp; however, this is a gate into another area that we should be allowed clear access to if we purchased it (either via direct purchase or being an eso plus member).
It would also be nice if players would respect one another enough to allow them clear access to the area, but since that isn't the case, maybe zos should consider installing an alternate "safe" route into this "pay to play" content.
Of course, once inside this content, you're back to "pvp", but there are still areas (at doorways) inside IC that are "safe zones" where you cannot be attacked.
If it's going to be accessible only by paying for the content in some manner, then I would think zos would allow us to access that content we pay/paid for.

They allow access, but not safe access. They sold IC as PvP content, and placed it in the heart of the big PvP zone. When it was first announced/released, they weren't even going to allow the sewer entrances to be open if your Alliance didn't hold at least one inner keep (one of the six circling the Imperial City around Lake Rumare).
In PvP-zones, MMORPG companies generally consider gankers near a desired location to be acceptable and a problem with a player-initiated solution (i.e. killing the gankers). That is, it's up to the players in your Alliance to deal with it.

I can understand that.. to a point.. but, if you've provided payment to a company for a service and fulfillment of that service is dependent upon a person or persons outside that company who have no obligation to you, then I have to disagree. You buy a game to be able to play, or at least have the opportunity to play by accessing the content. If that content is restricted to you, you are not getting what you paid for. You could wait around all day for a group large enough to show up and eventually rid the "obstacles" to this entrance and to this content.. but some of us don't have all day to wait, and probably shouldn't have to.

Now go fight for your access. Welcome to PvP. You don't see NPC enemies posted up at delve entrances peacefully letting you pass, nor would soldiers in a war behave like that.tinythinker wrote: »As most everyone knows, there is an "IC Event" going on and it would be nice if those who wanted to participate could access it without getting "ganked" numerous times by anywhere from one player all the way up to a raid (yes, there was about a raid at my faction's gate yesterday). Competing against those other players to access the content is part of the game.

I see your point, but keep in mind, IC is removed from Cyrodiil (well, except the population) and you can access Cyrodiil without having to "fight for your access". Click "L" and you're in. At that point, the pvp begins, but only after you've entered the battlefield. I believe the same should hold true for IC. Fight once you're in, not to be able to get in. But, everyone is entitled to their opinion, whether you agree or disagree. Plus, it would be nice for many players who may not have experienced IC before and would like to participate in the special event zos has going on right now.
