AP Meter : The dtick toolbelt

A little something I wanted to do for a while now, the new currency events from the last api patch made the last piece possible.

In-Chat Notifications
Notifies you of your AP gains, and the its source. Eg. Defence Ticks, Captures etc


Tick Range notifier
The meter will display "X Tick Range" if you are in an area capable of providing a tick. The message will disappear as soon as you leave the area


AP session Report Card
More details to your session, giving you a breakdown on your ap gains. Can be accessed by clicking the icon on the right hand side of the meter


Set an AP Goal
You can set an AP goal to work towards, just a handy reference to hit the figure you set out for. Be it to overtake someone on the boards, your next rank, or for fruitlessly buying AP vendor bags. Can be set within the sessions Report Card

Could you explain more how the Tick Range works? From what I understand D-ticks are shared evenly by all in the area. How does the number and the % show in your addon? Is the % your share of the total and the number is the total?

The green % is your current AvA rank progression. The blue is a goal you've set in your session.

A little strap line of text appears underneath the meter informing you which tick area you are in, or if you are in any. ( Temples, resources, outposts, keeps and towns ) I find this handy because after a lonngg keep fight, you know how far to push

All your AP gains are source labelled in your chat, so you'll know for sure if you got the dtick or not.

The UI is looking really nice.

Imo it should also display your current AP/hour in the preview window.

Hope this thread gets to stay in this forum category so people can actually see it for a while before it gets (re)moved to the Addon + UI forum by some mod.

Thank you! Yeah, that is something I'd like to do. It is just a case of figuring out where to put it. I wanted to keep the meter as a mirrior of the telvar counter.

It would be nice if the ap earned part in the chat could be muted, or be able to put it into it's own window. Other then that, it is a very clean and helpful add-on.

Nice. I would like to be able to turn off chat reporting for AP gained through all sources except capture and defence (UK spelling noted ). Everything else seems pretty solid.

I've been looking for an addon that does this sort of thing for a long time, but I haven't found one that did it in a way I liked until now. Excellent work on it.

As a templar who heals on occasion, I have to agree with this. Lots of little AP ticks from healing that I'd rather not have a line for in chat. And ZOS already gives us a running tally over short periods.

Didn't know this is why your not in raid too often. I'm sure it takes a good bit of time and effort to make these things. Now if you can make something to change chevrons over group/raid mates heads? That would be incredible. I just don't think it's possible with the way the API works =/

But if your up for a challenge (or anyone for that matter), all I'd like to see is chevrons colored according to role. Like Green for healers, Blue for tanks, Red for DPS. (color scheme can be debated) But I think this would be a great help.

Here's another idea. There's one out that I've been using for awhile now, called Crown Customizer. If there was a way to make that work on all your party members? Or just in such a way to denote more than one person? For instance, a secondary lead to be able to split off and follow. Maybe work in my previous suggestion with colors? Now THAT would be truly amazeballs!

Is there a way to turn off the in-chat notifications so it doesn't clog up my chat box? Other than that, awesome job, definitely helps knowing when I'm in tick range at objectives.
